Baggage Policy
King Island Airlines has a different baggage policy for carry-on and checked baggage policy.
Carry-on Baggage
Passengers receive free hand baggage allowance of 15kg with a maximum dimension of 55cm x 35cm x 25cm. The airline will try its best to accommodate every baggage onboard but they cannot guarantee to carry baggage on the same flight as the passenger, due to aircraft size.
Checked Baggage
Only carry-on baggage is allowed on King Island flights.
Fare Classes
King Island Airlines fares are divided into six types, Flexi Fare, Adolescent Fare, Child Fare, Super Saver Fare, Seniors Fare and Resident Fare.
Flexi Fare, Adolescent Fare, Child Fare
Tickets are eligible for changes and cancellations but passengers would have to make that request at least 24 hours before the flight.
Super Saver Fare
Tickets are changes are available but tickets are non-refundable. It's the cheapest fare class available for customers but not every flight has this option.
Seniors Fare
Flight changes and cancellations are available as long as passengers contact the airline's call centre 24 hours before the flight. Passengers must present senior identification at check-in.
Resident Fare
Resident Fares are only available for permanent residents on King Island for at least 12 months and it's only available for flights departing from King Island. Resident fare is only available if passenger can present with the identification required.
Check-In
King Island Airlines passengers must check in at the airport since the airline doesn't offer online check in.
Online Check-in
Online check-in is not available for the airline. All passengers must check-in at the airport.
Airport Check-in
Airport check-in counters close 30 minutes before the established departure time. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport two hours before the flight.
Passengers should report to the airport check-in counters as soon as they arrive at the airport. The designated check-in area should be located on the departure information board or signs at the airport. Check-in counters are labelled with the airline name and logo. It's a requirement that all passengers must report to check-in before the check-in deadline, or the airline may refuse to let the passenger board.
