Eastern Australia Airlines was founded in 1949, it was originally called Tamworth Air Taxi Service. Australian Airlines used to own the airline up until 1991 when Qantas acquired Australian Airlines. The domestic carrier operated a regional service in New Zealand when Qantas CEO, Alan Joyce, decide for the airline to operate under the Jetstar brand in 2015. However, this operation ended soon in 2019.
The Qantas subsidiary now only operate domestically under the QantasLink brand. A fleet of an efficient turboprop aircraft is operated in their network, including the DHC-8-200, DHC-8-300, DHC-8-Q200 and DHC-8-Q300.
As Eastern Australia Airlines operates under the QantasLink brand, the baggage allowance would be the same as the airline. The baggage allowance below is accurate as of June 2020.
Passengers are entitled to free baggage allowance of 14 kg in total between two carry-on bags. Each individual bag cannot exceed 10 kg.

Each passenger is entitled to one 23 kg baggage for check-in. If passengers wish to purchase excess baggage, it can be done through the booking process. Contact our customer service team for any enquiries.
Eastern Australia Airlines allows passengers to check in online prior to the flight departure. The opening and closing times will depend on the method of check in you choose.
Check-in opens 24 hours before departure and it is available via the Qantas official website. Enter the booking reference and passenger's last name to start check-in.
Airport check-in counters close 30 minutes before the scheduled flight departure time. Group check-in at international airports will close 60 minutes before departure time. Please arrive at the airport early as the airline reserves the rights to deny check-in.
We recommend passengers to arrive at the airport one hour before the flight to avoid any unexpected delays.
