How to cancel a United Airlines flight at Alternative Airlines

Booked United Airlines flights through Alternative Airlines but want to cancel? You can cancel United Airlines flights through the Manage My Booking portal or get in touch with our Customer Service team who will be happy to help.

1. Self-service flight cancellation via 'Manage my booking'

To sign in to Manage My Booking, you'll need your booking reference number. Once you're in, you can easily cancel your United Airlines flights. We'll show you the total refund you're entitled to based on the fare rules of the airline before you proceed to cancel.

If you added Cancellation Protection during the booking process, you can claim a full refund if you need to cancel your flight due to emergency reasons.

Please be aware that many flight tickets are non-refundable as per the airline's terms and conditions.

Can I get a refund for my United flight cancellation?

A refundable United flight ticket allows you to get a refund before departure if you choose to cancel your flight. You may need to pay a cancellation fee. You can book refundable United flights at Alternative Airlines - simply check the fare rules during the booking process to see if your ticket is refundable.

Cancellation Protection

Protect your United Airlines flights with Cancellation Protection. For a small fee, add Cancellation Protection to your booking and receive a full refund if you need to cancel United flights for emergency reasons (e.g., illness, death, mechanical breakdowns, etc). Can you cancel a United flight within 24 hours?

Yes, and you can get a full refund as long as you cancel your United flight within 24 hours from when you first made your booking and at least 7 days before the departure date. This is known as United's 24-hour flexible booking policy. With United flights booked through Alternative Airlines, you can still cancel within the 24-hour cancellation window and get a refund, but you'll need to contact us during our operating hours.

Please contact us between 9am - 8pm UK time (GMT) if you want to cancel your United Airlines flights within the 24-hour cancellation window and receive your refund.

If you attempt to contact us outside of our opening hours to cancel your United Airlines booking and the 24-hour period has already elapsed by the time we've received your refund request, we won't be able to honour the 24-hour cancellation policy as United Airlines won't issue the refund to us.

If you contact us after business hours, we might not get your refund request and the 24-hour window might have passed, in which case we won't be able to honour the 24-hour refund policy.
