It was an airline founded in 2019 and looked to commence operations from Kyiv International Airport in the second quarter of 2021. It was reported to be a low-cost charter airline flying both charter and scheduled services.
With a fleet of Boeing 737-800, the airline was targeting destinations regionally including destinations in Europe and Africa, namely Barcelona, Batumi, Rhodes, Tirana, Odessa and many more.
As of April 2021, Bees Airline was planning to operate flights from Ukraine's capital, Kyiv to over 30 destinations, which included 15 scheduled services and 16 charter services. So far, the destinations included Batumi, Tbilisi, Araxos, Heraklion, Rhodes, Burgas, Varna, Alicante, Barcelona, Tirana, Larnaca, Yerevan, Odessa and many more.
Bees Airline only offered one cabin class but its fares were divided into three fare types, these were Light, Smart and Flex.
Economy Light had the least allowance and flexibility in the ticket, but it was the cheapest ticket available out of the three. Free change and refund were not available for the fare type.
Economy Smart had a checked baggage allowance of 23kg and the ticket had some flexibility with a small fee. Although the fare was a little more expensive than Economy Light.
Economy Flex offered everything that the other fare types offered, but with even more flexibility as the name suggests. Tickets were fully refundable but with a small fee applied.
Fare-paying passengers were entitled to one piece of 7kg carry-on baggage that didn't exceed 55cm x 40cm x 23cm, for free as well as a personal item such as a handbag, a jacket and a camera.
Carry-on baggage had to fit in the overhead locker or under the seat and it must not have weighed over the permitted limit. A baggage that does not comply with the airline baggage policy would not be accepted and may be asked to transport as checked baggage.
Prohibited items were not allowed on board including any fluid exceeding 100ml. Prohibited items except dangerous goods must have been transported in checked baggage. Batteries and power banks should have been carried onboard and must not have been transported in checked baggage.
Checked baggage allowance depended on the fare type that the passenger purchased. Passengers may have checked a piece of 23kg checked baggage on their flights as long as it didn't exceed 158cm in total dimensions.
Checked baggage must not have exceeded 32kg, otherwise, the airline would not accept the baggage due to international health and safety regulations.
Any passengers wishing to purchase excess baggage for their flights could do so during the booking process or by contacting our customer service team.
Online check-in wasn't currently available for the airline. All passengers must have checked in at the airport.
Airport check-in counters opened two hours before and closed 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time. At Alternative Airlines, we advise passengers to arrive at the airport two hours prior to the scheduled departure time with valid travel documents.
Passengers should report to the airline check-in counters before the check-in deadline. As a recommendation, we recommend passengers arrive at the airport two hours before the established departure time and should report to the check-in desks as soon as they arrive. This is to avoid any unexpected delays pre-arrival.
The airline reserves the rights to refuse to board any late passengers and may not refund the ticket.
