Ellinair was a Greek airline which started operations in February 2013 and was based at Thessaloniki International Airport and Athens International Airport. The airline was part of the Mouzenidis Group, alongside Mouzenidis Travel Company, which is a leading tour operator within Greece.
In 2021, Ellinair ceased operations because Mouzenidis Travel Company ceased trading that same year. Ellinair parked its aircraft fleet with the intention of restarting services in 2022, however, these plans were ultimately put on hold.
The maximum weight for carry-on baggage on Ellinair flights was 8kg (for all ticket fares). The maximum dimensions for carry-on bags were 55cm x 40cm x 20cm. Passengers were also permitted to bring one small personal item, as long as it fitted under the seat in front of them.
The free baggage allowance for all ticket fares was 20kg with maximum dimensions of no more than 158cm (62in). Infants were entitled to one piece of luggage weighing no more than 10kg. On domestic flights and those travelling to and from Germany, students were permitted a special baggage allowance of 30kg when flying with Ellinair.
Passengers could check in 48 hours before the scheduled departure time. Online check-in closed three hours prior to flight departure. Online check-in was only available for flights departing from the following airports SKG, ATH, HER, RHO, JTR, JMK, CFU, KVA, SVO, VKO, KBP, FRA, MUC, STR and TXL.
Airport check-in was available from two hours before the scheduled departure time. The airport check-in desk closed 40 minutes before the flight departure.
The airline flew to many domestic destinations and locations within Greece and across Europe, including Tbilisi, Athens, Corfu, Heraklion, Mykonos, Budapest, Almaty, Astana, Kazan, Moscow, Samara, Izmir, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Odesa, Saint Petersburg, Santorini and others.

Children were offered candy onboarding, along with colouring books and coloured pencils. A kid's menu and juices were available.
Passengers could enjoy comfortable padded seating, in a 3-3 formation, and a seat pitch of 31 inches.
Passengers had the option to purchase lounge access. The CIP Lounge was located at Heraklion International Airport, and offered comfort and luxury for up to 60 people. There were three grades of package which would enable access to the lounge, as well as other benefits such as fast-track security.
Ellinair was based at Thessaloniki International Airport which is an airport serving Thessaloniki, the second-largest city in Greece. The airport handles around five million passengers each year. Other airlines that fly to the airport include SAS Scandinavian Airlines, TUI, Ryanair, Astra Airlines, Condor and Transavia.
The fleet included two Airbus A319-100, one Airbus A320-200, two Avro RJ85, two Boeing 737-300 and two Boeing 737-400.
