Akasa Air is an Indian low-cost airline operating domestic flights across India. Akasa Air began its commercial operation on the 7th of August 2022 from Mumbai to Ahmedabad. The new airline has hubs in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and Kempegowda International Airport.
As Akasa Air is a low-cost airline it operates an economy-class configuration in its Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, which handles a total of 189 passengers in the -8 variant and 197 in the -200 variant. To keep the flight fares low, the airline doesn't offer free meals, Wi-Fi or in-flight entertainment. However, these services are all available to purchase during your Akasa Air flight.

When flying with Akasa Air you are entitled to 1 carry-on up to 7kg / 15lbs, completely free of charge.
All carry-on items are subjected to airport security checks, all passengers should make sure that no prohibited items are stored in the baggage including any fluid exceeding 100ml.
All carry-on items must fit in the overhead lockers and under the seat. The total weight of the carry-on baggage must not exceed the permitted limit.
On domestic flights with India, you're allowed to bring a piece of standard checked baggage of up to 15kg / 33lbs. Any additional checked baggage can be pre-booked online. Please note that you can only bring 2 pieces of extra baggage at a charge of INR 900 per piece.
All checked baggage must weigh less than 32kg and fit within the permitted dimensions to be allowed to be transported as checked baggage. Additional fees would be added to any excess weight on the checked baggage and for oversize items.
Excess baggage should be added to the booking before arriving at the airport as buying excess baggage in advance is often cheaper. This excess baggage can be added during the booking process.

Akasa Air doesn't have a frequent flyer program however it does have its own VIP 'meet and greet' service called 'Akasa VIP'.
The airline has partnered with Elite World Services (EWS) to offer a personalised meet and greet service to its passengers, allowing for hassle-free departure and arrival.
With Akasa VIP, a porter and a meet and greet representative will assist passengers with their baggage upon arrival at the airport as well as guide the passengers through to the check-in counters. Passengers who have purchased lounge access will also be escorted to the VIP lounge by the representative.
After the passenger has arrived at their destination, a porter and representative will help with baggage collection and escort the passenger to their designated pick-up point.
