Star Air India is an Indian airline based in Kempegowda International Airport in Bangalore, Karnataka. Star Air began operations to domestic Indian destinations in January 2019 with the aim of offering commuter flights within Karnataka state as well as to neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.
The airline was established by Ghodawat Enterprises, the Aviation arm of Sanjay Ghodawat Group (SGG), which also operates a private best-in-class helicopter service.

Star Air India has different baggage rules for carry-on and checked baggage.
When flying with Star Air, passengers can carry a bag of up to 7 kg (including a laptop). Hand baggage must not exceed the following dimensions: L 38cm, B 15cm, H 40cm – 5kg.
Passengers flying with Star Air can check in 1 free bag that weighs no more than 15 kilograms.
Any passengers who wish to add extra baggage can do so at the time of booking.
At the airport, a fee of INR 400 (5.44 United States Dollars) will be charged for every extra Kilogram of excess baggage which exceeds the free limit of 1 Bag of 15Kgs.
Economy Class is the only cabin class available onboard Star Air flights.
On a Star Airlines flight, there are up to 50 standard seats available. Pre-flight seat selection is available (charges apply) and can be completed during the booking process.
Light snacks, beverages (including hot and cold drinks), and warm meals are available onboard flights. But please note that this is not complimentary and fees will apply. Adjustable air-con, lighting, and W/C facilities are available on all flights.

Passengers can check-in through Star Air India's website up to 24 hours before the scheduled flight departs.
It is recommended that passengers flying with Star Air check in at least 3 hours prior to scheduled departure. Check-in opens and closes 60 minutes prior to the scheduled departure of the flight.
Star Air India does not currently offer a frequent flyer program.
Star Air India is not currently part of an airline alliance program.

Flying from its hub airports at Kempegowda International Airport and Belagaavi Airport, Star Air flies to a number of domestic destinations within India: Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Belgaum, Tirupati, Kalaburagi, Hubli, Indore, Mumbai, Ajmer, Ghaziabad. In November 2020, the airline also started flights to Delhi.

Star Air India, a growing regional carrier, is planning to begin commercial flights between Kalaburagi and Delhi (Hindon). The non-stop flight is set to begin from November 2020. This will be the flight between the cities. Currently, the journey is only available by road or rail, which takes up to 24 hours.

Things are looking good for Indian regional carrier Star Air. Star Air is set to provide the first scheduled service to the city of Gulbarga when it launches a weekly service from Bangalore Int'l. This service is set to begin in November 2020. The carrier will use its fleet of three E145s for the route. Star Air has also recently started more weekly scheduled flights between Hubli and Delhi Hindon.
