Starblue Airlines is a Colombian startup airline that plans to fly both domestic and international scheduled passenger flights. The airline's main base is at Palonegro International Airport (BGA), Bucaramanga, but it will also fly many flights from Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport (CLO), Cali as well. The airline plans to fly a mix of domestic flights, as well as international flights to other countries in South America, including Ecuador, Peru, Chile and Panama.
Starblue hasn't got a launch date as of yet. When it does launch, it will fly six different domestic routes across Colombia — with 3 departing from Bucaramanga and 3 departing from Cali. Although international flights are definitely in its plans, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the airline expects to launch international flights at some point after it launches domestic flights.
At this time, Starblue hasn't been approved to fly any of its proposed routes and is awaiting confirmation from the Colombian Civil Aviation Authorities.
The official baggage allowance for Starblue Airlines is unknown at this time. Please check back once the airline is launched and baggage allowances have been confirmed.
The airline is likely to operate as a low-cost airline, which means it'll most likely offer free carry-on baggage but no checked baggage included within the price of the ticket of its most basic fare.
Checked baggage will either have to be purchased as an add-on to the flight. Or, Starblue Airlines might offer a more expensive fare that includes a checked baggage allowance plus any other extras.
It's unconfirmed at this time what the set-up of the cabin(s) will be on Starblue Airlines at this time.
It's likely to fly with an all Economy Class cabin on domestic flights. As the airline will fly with Airbus A320 and Embraer 145/170/190 aircraft, it has the option to customise the planes with Business or First Class cabins too. If it does decide to add additional cabin classes, this will most likely be on international flights only.
In-flight entertainment and WIFI are not expected to be offered on any Starblue flight.
What will be offered as food and drink on flights has not yet been confirmed.
However, Starblue Airlines is likely to offer a food and drink service consisting of hot and cold snacks, as well as hot, cold, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. These will all be available to purchase once in flight.
Starblue doesn't have any confirmed destinations but it's requested to fly to several destinations across Colombia, including Bucaramanga, Cali, San Andrés, Santa Marta, Cartagena and more. The airline is also expected to fly to international destinations such as Guayaquil, Lima, Quito Santiago de Chile and Panama City.

Palonegro International Airport (BGA) is the main international airport in Bucaramanga, Colombia and the hub airport for Starblue Airlines. The airport will be the official base for the airline when it launches, however, the airline will also have a secondary hub at Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport (CLO), Cali, with an even split on how many flights depart from each airport.
Palonegro International has one terminal, and one runway and has passenger movement of 2 million+ when demand is at its highest levels.
Other than Starblue, there aren't any airlines that are currently based at Palonegro International. However, there are several airlines that use the airport, including Avianca Express, Copa Airlines, LATAM Colombia, SATENA, Spirit, Viva Colombia and more.
Upon launch, Starblue Airlines is looking at taking delivery of Airbus A320 and Embraer ERJ-145, E170 and E195.
These planes all vary in size with the smallest being able to transport 50 passengers at a time and the largest being able to transport 180.
