St Barth Commuter was founded in 1994 to serve the local Caribbean islands. Despite the small network, the airline has been successful and served more than 500,000 passengers since its establishment. It is a scheduled airline but also offers passengers private charter services. The passengers can request charter services from the destinations in the Dominican Republic to Grenada.
The airline is operating a fleet of Cessna C208B serving four scheduled destinations from its base at Gustaf III Airport.
Yes! Alternative Airlines is a flight search and booking site that tickers more airlines than other sites, and specialises in making it easy to book flights to exotic locations. You can use the search bar at the top of the page to compare flights to the islands in the Caribbean. You can also take a look at our full guide to flights within the Caribbean for more information.

St Barth Commuter's experienced team will see passengers to their seats, and ensure all passengers are comfortable during the flight. Flights are short, with limited facilities onboard. Both the flight between Saint Maarten Juliana and St Barthélemy, as well as between St Martin Grand Case and St Barthélemy, are just 15 minutes. Passengers are encouraged to make the most of the facilities at the airport, including W/C and snack/food bars, before boarding the flight.
The airline offers the option to choose between two ticket fares: Basic, or Flex. The onboard experience will be the same, but the two-tier options offer differences in terms of the flexibility of the ticket. The basic fare does not permit any changes to the reservation, whereas the Flex ticket enables the passenger to change or cancel their ticket (subject to terms and conditions).
St Barth Commuter isn't a part of any airline alliance.
No frequent flyer programme is offered to passengers.
St Barth Commuter passengers must check in at the airport since the airline doesn't offer online check-in.
Online check-in isn't available for St Barth Commuter.
Check-in counters open one hour 30 minutes before departure and close 30 minutes before scheduled departure time. Passengers are required to present valid photo identifications to verify the passenger's identity.
At Alternative Airlines, we recommend passengers arrive early for their flights, ideally one to two hours before the flight's departure time. Any passenger who presented late at check-in will be treated as a "no show" passenger.
St Barth Commuter flies to neighbour islands in the area, including Saint Barthélemy, Simpson Bay, Grand Case and Les Abymes. Flights with the airline are usually short, around 15 minutes, as the islands are not too distanced away.

Gustaf III Airport (SBH) is located at St. Jean, Saint Barthélemy. It's a relatively small airport with only a concrete runway and a passenger terminal. Due to the runway restrictions, only small turboprops are allowed to fly to the airport and pilots need to be fully trained for the airport as there are challenging landscapes around the airport.
St Barth Commuter isn't the only airline that flies to the airline, the other airlines flying to and from the airport include Air Antilles, Tradewind Aviation and Winair.
As of September 2020, St Barth Commuter operates a fleet of Cessna C208B - Grand Caravan. These aircraft are small single-engine turboprop aircraft with a capacity of nine passengers.
