SprintAir is a domestic airline based in Warsaw and headquartered at Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport. The airline mainly operates domestic and regional services.
SprintAir was originally set up in 2003 under the name of Air Polonia Cargo Sp. It started freight and mail services in April 2004, with 3 Let L-410 UVP-E aircraft. Later in 2004, the airline was renamed Sky Express Sp. From 2006 it began scheduled domestic passenger operations under the Direct Fly brand however in 2008, the SprintAir Group was established and the airline renamed itself as SprintAir.
From 2011, SprintAir operated charter flights from several Polish airports to holiday destinations within the Mediterranean region, using a single leased Airbus A320 aircraft.
SprintAir has a different baggage policy for carry-on and checked baggage policy.
Passengers are permitted one item of hand luggage, weighing a maximum of 5kg. This item must not exceed the dimensions 55 x 40 x 12cm.
In addition, passengers are permitted one personal item including items such as a coat, blanket, reading materials for flight, umbrella, walking stick or crutches.
The allocated free baggage allowance for checked luggage on SprintAir is dependent on the tariff purchased. This ranges from 8-12kg, so be sure to check on your ticket what you are allowed as you will be charged excess luggage if you go above your allowance.
SprintAir only offers the option to check-in at the airport, as they do not have an online check-in system.
SprintAir do not currently offer online check-in for their flights.
Passengers must check-in at the airport for their SprintAir flights. This service begins 90 minutes before departure time, and will close 35 minutes prior to departure time.
