Shaheen Air (شاہین ایَر) was a private Pakistani carrier located in Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. Shaheen Air provides passenger, cargo and charter services, to major cities in Pakistan surrounding Middle Eastern destinations. The airline focuses on cities in northern Pakistan, rather than Karachi, although that was where its central hub was. The airline was founded by Khalid Mehmood Sehbai, the airline's first chairman, and was named after the Shaheen falcon, Pakistan's national bird. The airline was founded in December 1993 and commenced operations on 25 October 1994. The airline initially served only domestic routes, mainly between Karachi and Quetta.
Shaheen Air Cargo was a division of Shaheen Air International that was established in 1993, soon after the inception of the airline. Shaheen Air provides special services for sending small consignments that are time-sensitive in nature. Today, Shaheen Air was Pakistan's second largest airline behind its flag carrier, Pakistan International Airlines. Shaheen Air has recently started flight operations to Riyadh with three different routes from Pakistan. Shaheen Air started its own maintenance repair organization (MRO) by the name of Shaheen Engineering and Aircraft Maintenance Services(SEAMS) which aims to provide maintenance services to Shaheen Air as well as other regional and international airlines.
All passengers travelling with Shaheen Air are allowed 7kg of hand luggage. The hand luggage must be within the dimensions of 22 x 18 x 10 inches. This includes passengers travelling domestically, internationally both within and outside Pakistan.
All passengers travelling on Shaheen Air are allowed a maximum of 32kg of checked baggage, including passengers travelling domestically and internationally. However, this bag policy was not applicable to Hajj or Umrah passengers.

For domestic travel, passengers must check-in at the airport at least 2 hours prior to departure.
