Samoa Airways, which was previously known as Polynesian Airlines, is the national airline of Samoa. The airline was originally founded in 1959 as Polynesian Airlines but briefly stopped flying in 2005. After being taken over by Polynesian Blue (which then became Virgin Samoa), the airline resumed flights with its current name at the end of 2017.
The airline is completely owned by the government of Samoa and is based in the country's capital, Apia. At present, the airline operates short-haul flights within the country as well as long-haul flights to Australia and New Zealand.

For the safety of the soon to be born baby, it's advised that all heavily pregnant mothers inform their doctor before reserving their flight and inquire about their health to travel the length of the trip they want to take. For 27 weeks of pregnancy, passengers require to sign a Release and Indemnity Form to be allowed carriage. For pregnancies between 28 and 34 weeks, the passenger needs to have a doctor’s letter confirming that they are fit to fly and the date the certificate is issued should not be more than seven days from the scheduled flight departure date. The passenger will also be required to sign a Release and Indemnity Form.
