What are multi-city flights with Riyadh Air?

Multi-city flights with Riyadh Air are flights that allow you to visit multiple cities in one itinerary but with separate Riyadh Air tickets for each part of your journey. Multi-stop flights are a good choice for your travel plans if you want to spend time exploring each city you land in. You get more flexibility by customising your itinerary and choosing the order in which you visit your destinations, as well as how long you plan to stay in each city and which airlines you want to fly with (e.g., Riyadh Air).

You might think that multi-city flights are the same as connecting flights, however, there is a difference between the two. Multi-city flights give you more control and flexibility on your journey compared to connecting flights. You can choose however many days or weeks you want to stay in each destination for each leg of your trip. For example, once Riyadh Air launches, you will likely be able to book multi-city Riyadh Air flights to visit Riyadh, Jeddah and Medina with 2-3 weeks between each flight.

Riyadh Air hasn't launched operations yet - this means you won't be able to book Riyadh Air multi-city flights just yet at Alternative Airlines. Check out alternative airlines below:

How far in advance should I book my multi-city Riyadh Air flights?

To get the best deals and secure your spot on the plane, we recommend booking your Riyadh Air multi-city flights at least 2-3 months in advance, especially during peak seasons (summer holidays, local festivals, religious journeys) or for popular routes. Flights tend to fill up and become more expensive the closer you get to your travel date.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to book Riyadh Air multi-city flights in advance just yet as the airline hasn't launched. It plans to launch in 2025. Once we start ticketing the airline, you'll be able to select Riyadh Air in the search results as your preferred airline to fly with.

Do I need a visa for each destination in my multi-city trip?

Yes, although this depends on your nationality and the countries you plan to visit on your multi-city trip. If you're a Saudi national and want to book multi-city flights within Saudi Arabia, you likely won't need to worry about visa requirements.

It doesn't matter which airline you fly with - entry requirements are set by each country. Make sure to research visa information for every stop on your trip, regardless of the airline.

For more information on visa requirements, take a look at our guide on travel visas before you fly. We also have a blog post completely dedicated to Saudi Arabia's visa requirements which might be worth checking out if you're not a resident of Saudi Arabia.
