Niceair is an Icelandic airline due to begin operations in spring 2022. Primarily the airline is funded by a consortium of northern Icelandic investors, with no shareholder owning more than 8% of the business. It is initially planned that upon the launch of the airline, the United Kingdom, Denmark and Spain will all receive year-round services from its hub airport of Akureyri Airport in northern Iceland. The airline currently has 1 Airbus A319 in its fleet and aims to further grow this as the airline expands in popularity and route map.
Niceair has different baggage policies for carry-on and checked baggage.
Niceair allows all passengers to bring 2 items of cabin baggage onboard with them, this is broken up into 1 personal item and 1 cabin case. A personal item includes a ladies handbag, briefcase, laptop bag or small backpack. If you are travelling with a cabin case then this must not exceed 55 cm x 40 cm x 30 cm and should weigh less than 10kg.
Checked luggage is not included as standard and must be purchased additionally. The airline offers you the option to purchase a bag that shouldn't exceed 20kg.
Currently, Niceair has 1 Airbus A319 aircraft in its fleet with a capacity of 150 seats. It is unsure what the cabin configuration of the airline may be, however, if operating at a capacity of 150 passengers then this may suggest an all-economy cabin has been selected. Similar to other airline's configurations the seats onboard Niceair's aircraft maybe 17" in width with around 30" in pitch. The airline may offer a dual-class cabin which may be similar to other European airline business classes which include a standard economy seat with a blocked middle seat and increased level of service onboard. However, more information about the airline travel classes and configuration will be provided nearer the airline's launch.
Niceair hasn't yet published their inflight entertainment and Wifi offerings onboard its aircraft. However, it is not expected that these will be offered during their services, inflight reading materials may be provided. More information about the airline's inflight entertainment will be published nearer the airline's launch.
It is unsure what the inflight meal and beverage service may be. It is unsure if the airline will provide complimentary refreshments throughout the flight or if they will offer a buy onboard service.
Niceair passengers must check in at the airport since the airline doesn't offer online check in.
Niceair currently doesn't offer online check-in as the airline's reservations platform isn't operational. It is currently unsure if this will be offered once the airline launches services.
The airline hasn't yet formally begun operating services so at the airport check-in isn't available. However, it is expected that once services begin the airline will operate airport check-in facilities. It is unsure what the airline's intended opening and closing times may be, however, we recommend you arrive for check-in no later than 90 minutes prior to your scheduled departure.
Niceair currently doesn't offer a frequent flyer program. However, this may change once the airline begins operating and formally launches its website and reservations platform.
The airline is not a member of any airline alliance and it is unsure if they will join one upon its launch.
As of March 2022, Niceair plans on launching operations from Iceland to destinations in the United Kingdom, Spain and Denmark. The airline hopes as it grows an expanded route network will follow.
