Moçambique Expresso (abbreviated to MEX) is a domestic airline based in Mozambique.
The airline’s main base at Maputo International Airport — the international airport serving Maputo, the largest city and capital of Mozambique. Moçambique Expresso operates scheduled passenger domestic and regional scheduled flights within the country, as well as private charter operations. Popular destinations that the airline operates to include Lichinga, Nacala, Tete, and Pemba.
The airline was established in 1995 as a subsidiary of LAM Mozambique Airlines, the national flag carrier in Mozambique. It is wholly owned by LAM, operating the airline’s regional branch of operations.

Moçambique Expresso has a different baggage policy for carry-on and checked baggage.
All passengers are entitled to one carry-on bag. The carry-on baggage must fit within 115 cm (45.2") when adding the sum of the three dimensions (length x width x height). Carry-on bags must not exceed 7kg in weight.
In addition, passengers can also carry one personal item. The personal item can be an item such as a small handbag, laptop and bag or purse.
Passengers free checked baggage allowance is confirmed during the booking process and on the ticket. However, as a guide, the following limits apply:
Economy Class passengers are entitled to 20 kg of free checked baggage.
Business Class passengers are entitled to 31 kg of free checked baggage.
Moçambique Expresso has Business and Economy Class seating available.
The airline operates aircraft that have been developed for domestic and regional flights. Flights are short-haul, and there are a limited number of seats available (50-89). In Economy, the cabin is relaxed and pleasant, with a great service carried out by the airline's professional cabin crew.
Passengers are greeted by the cabin crew and welcomed on board. Snacks and light meals are available. Although no entertainment system is installed, passengers can enjoy the airline's in-flight magazine for entertainment.
Economy Class offers comfortable and spacious seating.
Business provides an upgrade on the Economy cabin, with more space, privacy, and a premium experience.
Passengers are greeted by experienced cabin crew, who welcome passengers to their seats. Snacks and light meals (route depending) are complementary. Although no entertainment system is installed, passengers can also enjoy the airline's in-flight magazine for entertainment.
Configured in a 2-2- formation, all seats are reclining, with much more personal space compared to the Economy cabin.
Moçambique Expresso passengers can check-in at the airport or using the airlines online check-in service.
Passengers can check-in online for their flights via LAM Mozambique's check-in page. Online check-in opens 48 hours before the flight and closes 90 minutes before scheduled departure.
Passengers are advised to arrive as early as possible, at least 2 hours before scheduled departure. Check-in closes 60 minutes before the flight departs for domestic flights.
Moçambique Expresso is a wholly owned subsidiary of LAM Mozambique Airlines, which isn't currently part of an airline alliance program. However, passengers will benefit from the relationship between Moçambique Expresso and its parent company, including the collection of loyalty points and a consistent and reliable onboard experience.
As the airline is a subsidiary of LAM Mozambique Airlines, passengers can collect Flamingo Club points on MEX flights. Flamingo Club is a program that provides benefits and special privileges to passengers who travel frequently on LAM Mozambique and Moçambique Expresso. Passengers can accumulate miles on flights LAM and use those miles to purchase or upgrade on future flights. Members also have priority check-in.

Moçambique Expresso operates within the route network of its parent LAM Mozambique Airlines. The carrier operates scheduled flights to domestic and regional destinations within Mozambique, flying to the following destinations: Beira, Chimoio, Inhambane, Lichinga, Maputo, Nacala, Nampula, Pemba, Quelimane, Tete, and Vilankulo.

International airlines that operate to the airport include Turkish Airlines, TAP Air Portugal, Qatar Airways, Kenya Airways, and Airlink.
As of February 2021, the Moçambique Expresso fleet consists of a Bombardier CRJ200, which can seat up to 50 passengers, a De Havilland Canada Dash 8 Q400, which can seat up to 86 passengers. These aircraft are operated under the MEX branding. The airline also has an Embraer ERJ 145MP, which is operated on behalf of LAM Mozambique Airlines.
