Marabu is a new German low cost startup airline set to launch in 2023. The airline is planning to offer flights between Germany and the leisure destinations in the Mediterranean. Marabu is backed by the Nordic Aviation group. Nordic Aviation Group's airlines have bases in Aarhus (AAR) and Copenhagen (CPH) in Denmark, Lisbon (LIS), Stockholm (ARN), Tallinn (TLL) in Estonia, Turku (TKU) in Finland, and Vilnius (VNO) in Lithuania. By the summer of 2023, these will be joined by Marabu's bases in Hamburg and Munich.
Marabu is being advertised as a partner airline of another German airline called Condor. The airlines' operation will be spearheaded Paul Schwaiger, who formerly served as general director of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa's joint venture leisure carrier SunExpress for 15 years. Schwaiger has also held senior executive positions at German leisure carrier Condor.
Since Marabu has an airline alliancewith Condor, the baggage allowance will be mirrored.
Marabu allows passengers to bring 1 piece of carry-on baggageweighing no more than 8kg. Dimensions must not exceed 55 x 40 x 20 cm.
Please make sure you are not bringing any prohibited items, including any liquids larger than 100 ml, inside your carry-on luggage. At security, any forbidden goods will be taken out of your luggage and disposed of.
