Hayways is the national flag carrier of the Republic of Armenia and was founded in 2019. Its origins begin as FlyArmenia but were later rebranded to Hayways in 2020. It began operations in 2021 after receiving an Air Operators Certificate (AOC), however, it's only operating cargo flights in light of the pandemic. Hayways's primary hub of operation is located at Yerevan's Zvartnots International Airport in the Republic of Armenia. Hayways strives to deliver a premium experience by operating as a full-service carrier, offering you free onboard snacks and baggage.
Currently, the airline only services Moscow Zhukovsky International Airport from Yerevan. However, the airline aims to later begin services to the Czech Republic, France, Syria and increase its route portfolio within the Russian Federation. 2 Boeing 737 aircraft are utilised by the airline, with 1 -300 and 1 -400 variants.
Hayways offers a free baggage allowance for all passengers regardless of your class of travel or your ticket type. This includes 1 piece of 25kg checked luggage as well as an item of cabin baggage up to the weight of 10kg. All cabin bags must fit under the seat in front of you or in the overhead lockers.
Passengers who may require excess baggage over the allowed limits offered by Hayways can purchase this when booking your flight with Alternative Airlines.
Hayways hasn't announced any information about its cabin classes but it's likely that it will have an Economy and Business class.
The airline has not yet disclosed the full information about its economy class offering, however, it will offer all passengers free baggage and free snacks onboard. It's expected that the economy cabin will be laid out in 3x3 rows.
Similarly to the economy offering, Hayways hasn't informed of its business class product. It's anticipated that the airline will operate as a dual-class airline offering a business class product. This will also include free baggage and meals for passengers. The airline's business class cabin will offer greater levels of space and comfort for passengers with an anticipated layout of 2x2.
Currently, as the airline is only operating cargo-only flights there is no available information about check-in procedures and functionality. Once the airline begins operating passenger flights it's expected that this information will be made public.
Due to the infancy of the airline, there is no current frequent flyer program available for passengers.
As the airline is only operating cargo flights it has not entered into any local or international alliances. Similarly, the airline hasn't established any codeshare agreements yet.
Hayways operates to Moscow Zhukovsky International Airport, in the Russian Federation. As the airline is still in its infancy its route portfolio only includes this destination and so as of October 2021 the airline only operates one route. However, the airline has ambitious plans to expand its route map and begin servicing the likes of Prague, Marseilles, Damascus and numerous cities within the Russian Federation.
Other alternative airlines to Hayways includes Aeroflot, Ural Airlines, S7 Airlines and UTair. All of these airlines directly compete with Hayways, operating to Yerevan, Russia and the wider region. Other international carriers also can be substitute airlines connecting Yerevan with the West and the Middle East.
