Discover Airlines, formerly known as Eurowings Discover, is a long-haul low-cost airline. It's based at Frankfurt International Airport (FRA) and flies to several destinations across the Americas and Africa. Overall, the airline flies to 18 destinations. The airline is a part of the Lufthansa Group. It's not to be confused with Eurowings. Although the airlines are closely related and use the same branding, they're two separate airlines. Eurowings is an airline that focuses on short-haul flights from Germany, whereas Discover Airlines focuses on medium-haul and long-haul flights. They're both part of Lufthansa Group and are sister airlines.
In 2020, Lufthansa announced it was planning on launching a new long-haul leisure subsidiary, which it was initially going to brand as ‘Ocean’ ('Ocean Airlines'). However, in early 2021, it was revealed that the airline would launch as Eurowings Discover instead. Eurowings Discover launched in July 2021 with two flights flying to Zanzibar and Mombasa, each of which departed from the airline's hub in Frankfurt. In September 2023, the airline was renamed to Discover Airlines.
The airline aims to serve long-haul international destinations from Germany that Eurowings no longer flies to. This allows Eurowings to focus on short-haul flights, while Discover Airlines focuses on long-haul flights.
Although the airline has originally launched with long-haul flights, it might fly short-haul flights that Eurowings doesn't fly in the future. The airline will adapt its route network based on demand as time goes on and the demand for leisure travel returns after the coronavirus pandemic.
Discover Airlines has a different baggage policy for carry-on and checked baggage.
You are entitled to a free carry-on baggage allowance of 1 x 8 kg (18lbs) bag per person

The airline uses planes from the Lufthansa fleet. The branding and upholstery are updated and switched to reflect the new brand, but the layout of the seats and configuration remain the same as they already are.
As a result, Discover Airlines has three different cabin classes: Economy, Premium Economy, and Business Class.
Economy Class is the most affordable fare that the airline offers. It offers you a comfortable flying experience at great prices. There are no added extras in Economy Class, other than complimentary meals and in-flight entertainment.
Premium Economy comes with all the benefits of Economy Class plus slightly larger seats in a separate area of the cabin. In Premium Economy, you're also given priority boarding, so you're one of the first people to enter the plane.
Business Class is Discover Airlines' premium class. You're treated to the airline's most luxurious flying experience, with large comfy seats in a separate area of the cabin. Business Class passengers are also given priority boarding and check-in as VIP members of the cabin.
Both airport and online check in are available when flying with Discover Airlines.
Online check-in can be completed via the Discover Airlines online check-in page. Check-in is available from 23 hours before departure.
Passengers should arrive at the airport two hours before scheduled departure time to ensure plenty of time to complete check-in.
When passengers arrive at the airport, they are asked to report to the check-in desks, which will be labelled with the airline’s name and logo.
All passengers are served complimentary food and drink during the flight.
If you've booked Business Class, you're treated to a special business class menu.
