Tips for senior passengers
Always ask for help
Don't be afraid to ask for help. Airline cabin crew and airport ground staff will be at hand to help you carry your baggage or support you whenever you need assistance.
Don't fly with too much jewellery, cash or material items
We advise against flying with too much expensive jewellery or physical cash. Unfortunately, there are instances where airlines have lost checked baggage or been too rough and damaged items. With our baggage insurance, you can get compensation for any lost baggage. However, we understand that with items like jewellery, no amount of money can replace its sentimental value, so if you can, try to avoid having items in your checked baggage that aren't replaceable. Cash and other material items, even in hand luggage, are at risk once you're away from the airport. Thieves will often target those they perceive as being more vulnerable. Being in an unfamiliar place can make you more susceptible to theft, so ensure that any expensive items you have are carefully watched.
Take care of the medication you need when flying
Pack medication in your hand luggage and ensure you have extra in case a flight is delayed for unforeseen reasons. For more information on medication, continue reading this page.
Reserve Special Services
When reserving a ticket, we advise requesting a seat with extra legroom. Also, ask for early boarding so that you can get comfortably settled in before the plane gets full. If you have specific dietary needs or adjustments, you can request special airline meals that meet your requirements. If you need a wheelchair, contact us in advance, as airlines can run out of wheelchairs at peak times.
