How to cancel a Southwest flight at Alternative Airlines
If you have booked your Southwest flights with us at Alternative Airlines and want to cancel your flights, you can do so through our Manage My Booking portal or get in touch with our helpful Customer Service team.
1. Self-service flight cancellation via 'Manage my booking'
Sign in online via 'Manage my booking' using your booking reference. Here, you can quickly and easily cancel your Southwest flights. Before you choose to proceed with your cancellation, we'll display the total refund that you'll be entitled to, based on the fare rules of your airline.
- If you added Cancellation Protection to your booking, you can cancel your Southwest flight for specific emergency reasons and claim your refund here.
Note that many flight tickets are non-refundable, as per the airline's terms and conditions.

Protect your Southwest flights with Cancellation Protection. Cancellation Protection can be added to your booking for a small fee, entitling you to a full refund if you need to cancel your Southwest flights due to emergency circumstances such as death, illnesses, home emergencies and more. Can you cancel a Southwest flight within 24 hours?
Southwest's cancellation policy states that if you cancel your booking within 24 hours of booking, you're eligible for a full refund. This is often referred to as a 24-hour refund policy. If you booked your Southwest Airlines flights with Alternative Airlines, you can cancel within 24 hours of your purchase but will need to contact us immediately.
Please be aware that if you contact us outside of business hours to cancel your Southwest flights and the 24-hour window has elapsed by the time we have received your refund request, we may not be able to honour the 24-hour cancellation policy as Southwest Airlines may not allow us to issue the refund.
Please ensure you contact us between 9am - 8pm UK time if you wish to cancel your Southwest Airlines booking within the 24-hour cancellation window and receive a refund.

How do I request a refund for a Southwest flight?
Get a full refund through Cancellation Protection:
To request a refund for your Southwest flight with Cancellation Protection purchased, you can visit the 'Claim Your Refund' page. You'll need to prove that you weren't able to board your flight due to an emergency circumstance. If you need help with this, you can contact us.
Get a refund from a refundable Southwest ticket:
If you booked a refundable Southwest flight and wish to cancel, you'll be eligible for a refund minus any cancellation fees needed to process that refund. A non-refundable ticket won't be eligible for a refund.
What is Southwest's cancellation policy?
If you cancel your Southwest flights within 24 hours of the original booking then you'll get a full refund for your flight. You won't be entitled to a complete refund after the 24-hour period has passed.
For bookings made through Alternative Airlines, we advise that you cancel your Southwest Airlines flight ticket through us during our opening hours (9am - 8pm GMT) so that we can offer a full refund if you do so within Southwest's 24-hour cancellation policy window.
If you contact us after business hours, we might not get your refund request and the 24-hour window might have passed, in which case we won't be able to honour the 24-hour refund policy.
