How to cancel EasyJet flights at Alternative Airlines

Plans often change or don't work out. If you have booked EasyJet flights you are no longer able to take, don't worry! You can easily cancel them with one of our quick and easy methods. Either submit a cancellation request through our Manage My Booking portal or reach out to our friendly customer support team, who are always happy to help.


1. Self-service flight cancellation via 'Manage my booking'

You can start your cancellation process by signing into our Manage My Booking portal. You can do so by entering your booking reference number. Once you're in, you will see the option to cancel or make changes to your flights booked with EasyJet. During this process you'll be able to see the amount you are entitled to receive based on EasyJet's cancellation policy outlined in their Carriage of Contract, so you can make an informed decision on whether to cancel or not.

If you added Cancellation Protection to your booking, you're able to get a full refund if you need to cancel your flights for reasons considered emergencies. You can find all the details outlining what constitutes an emergency by reading our Cancellation Protection Terms and Conditions.


Note: Most airlines tickets are non-refundable as per the terms and conditions of the airline.

Can I get a refund for my EasyJet flight cancellation?

The best way to ensure you are eligable claim a full refund if you booked a refundable EasyJet ticket with us.


Refundable EasyJet flights

If you bought a refundable flight ticket with us, you are able to receive a refund all the way up to the time of your flights departure, however it should be noted that this will incur a cancellation fee, which will be automatically deducted from the refund amount. Refundable flights with EasyJet are available with Alternative Airlines. Be sure to read our fare rules during your booking process to check if your ticket is refundable or not.

What Other Options Are There For Refunds?

If you booked your EasyJet flight through Alternative Airlines and you added one of our ancillary packages you will be eligible for a partial or full refund. The amount you will receive will be in compliance with your selected coverage when you cancel your EasyJet flight.


Cancellation Protection

Cancellation Protection is our coverage plan which allows you to claim a refund if you need to cancel your EasyJet flights due to an unexpected emergency. A few examples of what are considered emergency include court summons, personal injury or failure of transport. If you cancel using Cancellation Protection you will be entitled to a full refund, subject to a small cancellation fee. Can you cancel an EasyJet flight within 24 hours?

Yes, you can. If you cancel your EasyJet flight within 24 hours of completing your booking you are entitled to a full refund. If you have booked your EasyJet flights with Alternative Airlines, you are still entitled to EasyJet's cancellation policy, allowing you to claim this refund if you cancel within that window. However if you would like to cancel your flights with us, you must do so during our hours of operation so we are able to process your request.

If you want to cancel your flight within the 24 hour window, you must contact us between 9am - 8pm UK time (GMT). This is to ensure we can process your refund within the 24 hour window.

If you fail to contact us during our hours of operation we won't be able to honour EasyJet's 24 hour cancellation policy, as EasyJet may not distribute your refund to us.

  • If your EasyJet flights are booked with us at Alternative Airlines then you can submit a cancellation request for your flights through our Manage My Booking portal. Alternatively you have the option to contact our Customer Service team and they will be happy to help you cancel your EasyJet flights.
  • If you added Cancellation Protection to your booking, you can get a full refund for your flight tickets in the event that you need to cancel your EasyJet flights for emergency reasons.
How do I request a refund for an EasyJet flight?

Get a full refund through Cancellation Protection:
Sometimes emergencies crop up out of nowhere. If you are worried that an emergency might cause you to cancel your flight then you can add Cancellation Protection to your booking. Doing so will guarantee you a refund in the event you cancel your flight tickets for emergency reasons. You can claim your refund through the Manage My Booking portal or contact us for more information.

Get a refund from a refundable EasyJet ticket:
Refundable EasyJet tickets are always considered eligible for refund, up until the time of your flights departure. In order to receive your refund a small cancellation fee may be required. If you purchased a non-refundable EasyJet ticket with none of our ancillary options applied, you will not be eligible for a refund.

What is EasyJet's cancellation policy?

Easyjet's 24 hour cancellation policy allows you to get a full refund as long as you cancel your flights within a 24 hour window of making the booking. These 24 hours begin when you submit your booking and make payment at checkout. After this period elapses, you are unable to claim a refund unless you purchased one of our ancillary packages or a refundable ticket.

Please note that if you book your flights through Alternative Airlines, you must cancel your EasyJet flights during our operating hours (between 9AM and 8PM GMT.) This is to ensure we are able to process your refund request and honour EasyJet's 24 hour cancellation policy.

If you contact us beyond our operating hours, we may not get your refund request within the provided 24 hours, which will invalidate your ability to claim a refund.
