Biani Air (branded BINANI AIR) is a domestic Nigerian start-up carrier, to be based at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. The airline is being established as an extension by the Binani Group of Companies (a reputable conglomerate in Nigeria), headed by the politician, Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani — making her the first woman to establish an airline in Nigeria.
Biani Air has submitted an application to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) for a licence to operate commercial passenger flights. If the carrier receives a licence, then this news will be exciting for the Northeast zone of Nigeria, which currently has no registered indigenous carrier.
The airline has plans to fly regionally within Lagos State, as well as flying domestically to the states of Bauchi and Gombe States — filling a much-needed gap to connect the North and East by air. The airline aims to boost the economy within these zones.

For flights departing from Murtala Muhammed International Airport, it it is recommended that passengers arrive as early as possible, about 2 hours before scheduled departure.
