Avianca Honduras is an airline based in San Pedro Sula and flies domestically out of its hub base from Ramón Villeda Morales International Airport (SAP) Honduras. The airline was founded in 1981 previously called Isleña Airlines and in 2014, the airline being part of Grupo TACA, was combined with the rest of TACA's subsidiaries into Avianca and the airline being renamed Avianca Honduras.
The airline was one of the most successful airlines in Honduras and in the Central American region, connected to the TACA Group or now well known as Avianca. Avianca Honduras is currently one of the seven nationally branded airlines under the Avianca group of Latin American airlines.
