Baggage Policy
China Southern Airlines has a different baggage policy for carry-on and checked baggage policy. For checked baggage the allowance varies depending on route and class flying.
Carry-on Baggage
Hand luggage, no matter how many pieces you are carrying, must be a maximum of 5kg, and no greater than 115cm in combined dimensions.
Passengers travelling in First Class are permitted 2 x 5kg bags.
Passengers travelling in Business, Premium Economy or Economy Class are permitted 1 x 5kg bag.
Checked Baggage
Passenger’s checked baggage allowance is dependent on the route and class flying. For most flights from Japan, America, Australia, New Zealand, Russia and journeys from Singapore to China, passengers are entitled to 2 pieces of baggage in Business Class and Premium Economy and Economy Class with a maximum weight of 32kg in First and Business Class, and 23kg for Economy Class.

What are Economy Class Seats Like?
On the A380, the comfortable seating comes with adjustable headrests, seat cushions, and backrests. A personal 9-inch flat-screen LCD TV and rich entertainment options offer an extraordinary flying experience. A full range of office software applications allows you to process Word, Excel and other commonly used files.
The B787 provides higher cabin humidity levels and cleaner air, and windows are 65% larger than ordinary aircraft windows. Electronically controlled, color-changing optical systems replace traditional window blinds. Uniquely designed cup holders make it easy to store drinks. A 9-inch personal LCD TV is provided.
The A330 has a 2-4-2 seating layout; Seat spacing is 81 cm (32 in); Seat width is 43-44 cm (17 in); Spacious and comfortable seat design offers balanced back support.
Premium Economy
The Premium Economy class is situated at the front of the Economy cabin and gives passengers a more relaxed journey, with greater space.
Premium Economy Facilities
Premium Economy gives passengers the same great service that Economy Class passengers get but with a few added extras.
Premium Economy passengers are the first to be served in the Economy cabin, with the option to order from a selection of food and drink.
On longer flights, passengers can enjoy a range of television shows, movies, music and other in-flight entertainment through the airline's entertainment system.
What are Premium Economy Seats Like?
Premium Economy seats are set out either in a 3 x 3 or 2 x 4 x 2 formation. Seat pitch is between 35–37 inches and width is 19.5–20.5 inches, depending on the aircraft flown on.
Business Class
China Southern Airlines offers Business Class seating across all its flights; the package is comprehensive, and from booking to arrival, passengers will receive a premium service.
Business Class Facilities
Pre-flight lounges are available. Built-in amenities include a literature pocket, magazine rack, reading light, and USB port. The digital entertainment system includes a 15-inch flat-screen, with noise cancelling headphones, as well as a full range of office software applications allows you to process Word, Excel and other commonly used files. In-flight meals include a choice of East Asian and Western cuisine.
What are Business Class Seats Like?
On all aircraft, at the simple push of a button the seats will recline down into a fully flat and spacious bed.
On the A380, the 1-2-1 configuration means all have aisle access, and an adjustable privacy divider between the two adjacent seats in the centre allows you to choose your degree of privacy.
The A330 has a 2-2-2 configuration, with plenty of space.
First Class

What are Economy Class Seats Like?
The A380 offers eight specially tailored private flat-bed suites that give you an extraordinary travel experience. Adjustable power seats can be converted into a bed. Additions include a massive 23-inch flat-screen LCD TV, six different lighting schemes, and private storage cabinet with combination lock.
On the B787, four fully-reclinable cocoon seats provide exclusive accommodation. Ergonomic seats offer electronically controlled back massage, and LCD TV and USB ports are available.
The A330 offers a 1-2-1 passenger cabin layout, with fully reclining cocoon seating, LCD TV and USB ports.

For passenger flying from Beijing, Cheng Du, Chong Qing, Guang Zhou, Haerbin, Hai Kou, Kun Ming, San Ya, Shanghai Hongqio, Shanghair Pudong, Wu Han (Domestic), Shen Yang, Shen Zhen, Tian Jin (International) must check in at least 45 minutes prior to departure.
For passenger flying from Chang Chun, Chang Sha, Da Lian, Gui Yang, Hang Zhou, Lahsa, Ning Bo, Qing Dao, Tian Jin (Domestic), Urumqi, Wen Zhou, Wu Xi, Xi An, Zheng Zhou, Zhu Hai must check in at least 40 minutes prior to departure.
For Passengers flying from Fu Zhou, Gui Lin, Jie Yang Chao Shan, Mian Yang, Nan Chang, Nan Chong, Nan Ning, Wei Hai, Wu Yi Shan, Yan Tai, Yin Chuan must check in at least 30 minutes prior to departure.
