Aero is an American leisure airline founded in 2019. The airline operates leisure services, primarily focussing on premium and wealthy travellers who want a private jet experience at a commercial flight price. The airline initially launched services in Europe in 2020 and after great success has since begun expanding operations to the USA. The airline was founded by one of the developers behind the popular ride-hailing app Uber. Aero uses a fleet of Embraer ERJ-135LR and Legacy 600 aircraft.
Aero has different baggage policies for carry-on and checked baggage.
All passengers are allowed to bring 1 item of cabin baggage which should be a personal item to fit under the seat in front of you. As the aircraft used are small business jets, there is a lack of space for larger cabin baggage. The item of baggage shouldn't weigh more than 20lbs (9kg) and should meet the dimensions of 13x13x10in (33x33x25cm).
As well as complimentary cabin baggage, you are also allowed to bring 1 item of checked baggage too. Aero offers you a generous 23kg (50lbs) weight allowance. Depending on the space available it is possible to purchase additional luggage at USD 150 per bag.
Aero operates as an all-business airline, meaning that passengers will be treated to a luxurious experience when travelling with the airline. Instead of flying out of the commercial terminal building, all Aero flights depart from private aviation airports or terminals making the experience that bit more premium. As soon as you arrive at the airport the airline's staff will greet you and collect your bags, check you in and escort you to their private lounge where you can relax before departure. When it is time to board the friendly crew will escort you onto the plane and provide you with a welcome drink. Sit back and relax throughout the flight and be treated to complimentary drinks and snacks throughout. Every seat onboard the aircraft is a window and aisle and upholstered in luxurious leather helping you get that bit more comfortable. The service doesn't just end once the plane lands. The concierge service will have a car waiting and staff will transfer your luggage from the aircraft without you even lifting a finger.
Inflight entertainment and wifi facilities haven't been installed on the aircraft as the flight times are usually short as well as there is a lack of space onboard.
Aero provides complimentary food and drinks both at their airport lounges and onboard their aircraft. This includes alcoholic beverages. The airline has partnerships with 1 alcohol purveyor and 2 restaurant/hospitality suppliers.
Aero passengers must check in at the airport as the airline doesn't offer online check-in service.
Aero doesn't offer online check-in as the airline states that this is not necessary, check-in can be done on arrival to the airport and is quick and simple.
The airline states that all passengers should arrive at the airport to be checked in for the flight no later than 40 minutes prior to the scheduled departure. For international flights, this is increased to 60 minutes and failure to meet this may result in denied boarding.
Currently, Aero doesn't offer a frequent flyer program for you to join.
Aero is not a member of any airline alliance. However, the airline has partnerships with Wally's Wine & Spirits, Remedy Place, Solange Resort & Spa, Bardessono Hotel & Spa, W Hotel Aspen, Guest, Velocity Black, Quintessentially Travel, Catch Hospitality Group, Casa Tua, The House of Beyond, XO Private, Traveller Made and Black Tie Ski Rentals.
As of January 2022, Aero operates to 6 countries across North America and Europe. Please be aware that services in Europe only connect to other European destinations and services in North America only operate to other North American destinations.
