Tulsa International Airport (IATA: TUL) formerly known as Tulsa Municipal Airport is a civil-military airport that serves more than 3 million passengers each year. The airport opened in 1928 and serves cities within the United States. The airport has an area of 4,360 acres and owns three runways. The airport is the global maintenance headquarters for American Airlines.

The airport is located 5 miles (8 km) northeast of downtown Tulsa, in Tulsa County, Oklahoma.

Runways and Terminals

Runways

Tulsa International Airport currently has three runways:

  • Runway 18L/36R - Measuring 10,000 feet in length and 150 feet in width, this grooved concrete runway is in excellent condition.
  • Runway 8/26 - This grooved concrete runway is 7,376 feet long and 150 feet wide, currently rated in fair condition.
  • Runway 18R/36L - An asphalt runway measuring 6,101 feet by 100 feet, maintained in good condition.


Main Terminal

The main terminal consists of two concourses - Concourse A and Concourse B. Concourse A has in total 21 departure gates labelling from A1 to A11. The concourse is home to airlines such as Allegiant Airlines, American Airlines and Delta. Concourse B in total has 10 gates but only has seven jet bridges and housing airlines such as Southwest Airlines and United Airlines.
