Toki Air is a Japanese low-cost airline scheduled to begin operations in 2022, it was jointly established in 2019 by the Niigata Chamber of Commerce and Niigata Association of Corporate Executives. The airline undertook a test flight from Tokyo Narita Airport to Sado in 2021 in preparation for launch in summer 2022. The airline will offer domestic Japanese services from their hub airport in Niigata. Upon launch, the airline will operate 4 routes with a 5th to Sado beginning in 2023. Regional ATR-72 propeller engines have been selected as the fleet for the airline with further ATR-42 being introduced to the fleet in 2025.

Toki Air hasn't yet published their intended cabin baggage policy as they are yet to begin operations. However, it may be expected that you are allowed to bring 1 small personal item such as a handbag, small backpack or briefcase. However, more information will be provided nearer to the airline's launch.
The airline is yet to state its checked baggage policy, however, as the airline intends on operating under the low-cost business model, complimentary checked bags may not be included in some ticket types. Once the airline begins ticketing for their services information regarding this will become available.
The cabin classes available on a Toki Air flight have yet to be confirmed by the airline.
Toki Air is expected to offer an economy class product onboard their aircraft as well as a ticket type. As the aircraft operated will be small regional planes it is likely only 1 seating type will be installed in 2 x 2 rows. As the airline will be a low-cost carrier, complimentary drinks and snacks are not expected to be provided, neither is inflight entertainment or wifi. Baggage policies may depend on the ticket type booked, so please check prior to departure.
It is unsure whether Toki Air will offer a business class product onboard the aircraft or sell a business class ticket. However, as the airline intends on operating small regional aircraft on short domestic services it may be unlikely that this is an option.

It is currently unsure whether the airline will offer an online check-in facility as the airline's current website doesn't offer reservations. Nearer the time of launch, this may be included.
It is expected that Toki Air will offer airport check-in facilities at all of their destinations, it is unknown if this will include self-service kiosks or will be standard check-in desks. The airline is yet to publish its opening and closing times for check-in however, we recommend that you arrive no later than 90 minutes before your scheduled departure to avoid issues.
Toki Air will operate short domestic services on regional aircraft so it is unlikely that they will have inflight entertainment or wifi installed. The airline may publish an in-house magazine for you to read or provide some reading materials such as local newspapers, however, this is unsure. We recommend bringing your own entertainment for the short flights.
It is not expected that complimentary drinks and snacks will be provided. However, the airline may choose to offer a buy onboard service during the flight.

Niigata Airport is an airport located on the coast of Japan bordering the Sea of Japan, it is the primary airport for the Niigata Prefecture. The airport is not currently connected by any public transport services such as rail or metro services, however, a shuttle bus is available to transfer passengers from the airport to Niigata Station, which is subsidised by the local government. Numerous Japanese and international airlines operate to the airport offering services to China, Russia, Korea, Taiwan and wider Japan. Currently, ANA, ANA Wings, IBEX, China Eastern, China Southern, Fuji Dream Airlines, J-Air, Korean Air, Peach, Tigerair Taiwan and Yakutia Airlines operate to the airport.
Toki Air has indicated that they intend on using a fleet of ATR-72 aircraft from 2022 with deliveries of the smaller ATR-42 beginning in 2025.
