Taiga has announced that it will connect over 500 destinations in the Far East of Russia, although more details have yet to be announced.

The airline will be based at Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (UUS). Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, also called Khomutovo, is an airport in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, on the Russian island of Sakhalin. Airlines that fly to/from UUS to/from other domestic destinations within Russia include: AeroflotPegas FlyAeroflot, Aurora, and Yakutia Airlines.

Fleet

The new airline company is going to be created by renaming an existing helicopter company, Aviashelf. It is likely that the fleets of other regional carriers will also be transitioned to the company later.
