Susi Air is a private Indonesian airline that operates from its main base in Pangandaran, West Java, Indonesia. The airline flies both scheduled and charter flights throughout the Indonesian islands. When counting both charter and scheduled routes, the airline flies to more than 150 destinations across 7 of Indonesia's islands. When counting only scheduled routes, the airline flies to just over 10 destinations. The airline is registered to be based at Kualanamu International Airport (KNO), Medan but actually has 20 different operation bases that it flies from
Susi Air was set up in 2004. The airline didn't start flying scheduled flights until 2005 when it began flying out of Medan For most of 2004, the airline's planes were used to support transporting equipment and medicine for aid after the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami. Although the airline has a lot more charter routes within its route network than it does scheduled routes, Susi Air is predominantly a scheduled airline and a great choice for anyone that is looking to island-hop in Indonesia.
Susi Air passengers have a free carry-on bag allowance of 1 piece person.
The maximum weight of the free carry-on bag is 6kg, and the maximum dimensions of each piece of baggage is 30 cm (11.8") x 15 cm (5.9") x 10 cm (3.9").
Susi Air passengers are given a free checked luggage allowance of 10kg.
Any baggage that exceeds this weight will be charged a per kg excess baggage fee.
Online check-in isn't available for Susi Air.
Check-in counters will be open 2 hours before the departure time and will close 30 minutes prior to departure. To complete check-in, passengers must have their e-ticket, as well as the card linked to the booking (or a photocopy of the card), ready to present to the airline check-in agents. Failure to present this may result in passengers being denied boarding.
Susi Air flies with an Economy Class cabin and no other cabins. Because it flies using small planes, the service onboard is limited. There's a crew that is present before, after and during the flight that will assist with anything that passengers might need.
Seats are usually set out in a 1 x 1 formation. Due to the type of aircraft that it flies, passengers might find seats on the plane more spacious than those found on more popular, bigger commercial airlines.
There's no in-flight entertainment or Wi-Fi onboard any Susi Air flights.
Food and drink aren't served on Susi Air flights. Passengers are welcome to bring their own food and drink on board with them, as long as it's permitted to pass through airport security and onto the flight.
Susi Air flies to more than 150 destinations if counting both scheduled and charter routes. However, charter routes are only available via special request to the airline.
Destinations that the airline flies to within its scheduled route network include Medan, Jakarta, Sorong, Tarakan, Jayapura and more. Check out the full list in the table below.

Kualanamu International was the first airport that the airline flew from in 2005 and has remained one of the key airports for Susi Air since then. The airport is the third largest airport in all of Indonesia. It has 1 terminal building and 1 runway.
Other than Susi Air, the airport is also a hub for Lion Air, Citilink and Garuda Indonesia. Although, there are several more airlines that fly in and out of the airport on a daily basis.
The airline has a varied fleet which it uses for both scheduled and charter flights. The aircraft type and models that it has within its fleet are as follows:
