Bucharest Baneasa Airport, officially known as Aurel Vlaicu International Airport, is situated in the Baneasa district of Bucharest, Romania. It is one of two airports in the city alongside Henri Coanda International Airport. The airport is named after Aurel Vlaicu, a Romanian aviation pioneer.
Bucharest Baneasa Airport is primarily used for general aviation and charter flights, such as those operated by Star East Airline.
It is currently a hub for Air Connect and Fly Lili who both operate seasonal charter flights around Romania and other European countries.
Fleet
Star East Airline has two aircraft in its fleet - an Airbus A320-231 and a Boeing 737-400. These are based in either Romania, Istanbul or Amman, depending on which airline is wet-leasing the aircraft.
