Spring Airlines Japan Ltd. is a low-cost Japanese airline that operates scheduled flights out of its hub base, Narita International Airport (NRT) in Kozunomori, Narita, Japan. The airline was founded in October 2012 and commenced operations two years later in Autumn 2014. A third of the airline is owned by Spring Airlines which is a Chinese low-cost carrier. Spring Airlines Japan is also owned by a Japanese travel agency which is known as JTB and provides Japanese tour packages to Chinese customers.
In April 2021, Japan Airlines announced that they would invest in the airline in the hope of raising their current 5% share to over 51% share by the summer.
