South Bend International Airport (IATA: SBN) formerly known as Michiana Regional Transportation Center. The airport opened in 1933 and serves cities within the United States. It has an area of 2,200 acres and owns three runways. In terms of passenger traffic, the airport is the state's third busiest airport after Indianapolis International Airport and Fort Wayne International Airport.

The airport is located 3 miles (4.8 km) northwest of South Bend, in St. Joseph County, Indiana.

Sofia AiSouth Bend International Airport currently has three runways - 9L/27R, 9R/27L and 18/36.


Main Terminal

The main terminal was built in 1981 and consists of one concourse with one nine-gates in total. Gates two, three, five, six, seven and eight have jetways, while gates 2A and 6A are ground level. The airport is a maintenance base for SkyWest Airlines.
