Real Tonga (‘REALtonga’) was an airline that operated domestic flights within Tonga. It was established with the purpose of serving the people of Tonga, and was dedicated to providing exceptional in-flight and on-ground service.
The airline commenced operations in 2013, taking over services previously operated by Chathams Pacific, a subsidiary Air Chathams, a New Zealand-based airline.
The airline was based at Fuaʻamotu International Airport and flew to the islands in Tonga. Tonga is a special country in the South Pacific Ocean, consisting of 170 islands, each of which has something unique to offer visitors. With warm year-round weather, sandy beaches, and an abundance of exotic marine life, the islands of Tonga promise an unforgettable vacation.

As well as this one piece of carry-on baggage, passengers could also carry the following items for free of charge: a handbag or pocketbook, an overcoat or wrap, an umbrella or walking stick, a camera or binoculars, an infant’s food/diaper bag for use in flight, and crutches and/or braces or other prosthetic devices.
The combined weight of checked baggage that each passenger could check-in for free was 15kilograms (33pounds).
The airline provided standard economy seating. The number of seats would depend on the aircraft being used and the route being operated.
The flights were short and facilities onboard the flight were limited. Passengers were encouraged to make the most of the services available at the airport before departing.
The seats were comfortable, with ample storage space in the overhead compartments and under the seats. During the flight, passengers could enjoy stunning views of the islands below.
Passengers that flew with Real Tonga could only check in at the airport.
Online check-in was not available.
Passengers who were checking in at the airport were advised to arrive at least 90 minutes before the scheduled departure time. All passengers were required to present valid photo identification when checking in.
Real Tonga's frequent flyer programme was called 'REALTonga'.
Established in 2 September 2015, REALtonga was the airline’s loyalty program, designed to reward loyal passengers who were loyal to the airline.
