Pensacola International Airport (IATA: PNS) formerly Pensacola Gulf Coast Regional Airport and Pensacola Regional Airport (Hagler Field), is an airport open to the public that serves 1.9 million passengers each year. The airport is located 3.7 miles (6 km) northeast of City of Pensacola, in Florida.

The airport opened in 1935 and serves cities within the United States. The airport has an area of 1,211 acres and owns two runways. Despite the airport's name as international, it doesn't offer international commercial flights. This airport is one of the five largest airports in North Florida, and among these, the airport is the 2nd busiest behind Jacksonville International Airport by passenger count.

Pensacola International Airport currently has two runways:

  • 17/35 - a length of 7,004 feet (2,135 metres)
  • 8/26 - a length of 7,000 feet (2,134 metres)


Main Terminal

The main terminal in total has 12 gates. Gates 1 to 10 are all located on the 2nd floor, whereas Gates 11 and 12 are located on the ground floor. Gates 1 and 3 are used by United Airlines, Gates 2, 4 and 8 are used by Delta and American Airlines use gates 5, 6 and 7. Gates 8 and 10 are used by Southwest Airlines and Gate 11 is used by Silver Airways.

How to get to Pensacola International Airport

By Road

Taxis and shared-ride shuttles are available and are located at the ground transportation area of the airport terminal, during airport hours of operation. All taxis are metered and reservations aren't required. As of January 2019, the minimum fare is $11 for airport trips. It takes only 9 minutes to Pensacola's City centre by taxi.
