Unfortunately, Orange2Fly ceased operations in September 2021.
Orange2Fly was a Greek airline that offers passenger charter flights. The airline was based at Athens International Airport (ATH) and offered flights throughout the world.
The airline was founded in 2015 and began flying its maiden aircraft, an Airbus A320, in 2016. In the past, it operated flights on behalf of Turkish airline, Corendon Airlines.
Through Alternative Airlines, passengers could buy unsold seats on Orange2Fly at discounted prices. All you needed to do was use the search form at the top of the page and search for flights between destinations where Orange2Fly had unsold seats available.
Along with charter flights, the airline also offered ad-hoc flights and wet-leased its aircraft to other countries.
As a charter airline, Orange2Fly flew between several different destinations across the world. But some of its more popular routes were between Pristina and destinations in Germany.
Each passenger was given a free carry-on baggage allowance of 10 kg, with a maximum of one piece per person.
Each passenger was given a free checked baggage allowance of 20 kg, with a maximum of one piece per person. The only exception to this was on specific flights, where the checked baggage allowance was stated as otherwise. However, this was stated at the time of booking and on the e-ticket that passengers received.
Online check-in wasn't available on Orange2Fly flights.
Airport check-in opened two hours before the scheduled flight departure time and closed 35 minutes before. Check-in could be completed by visiting the airline check-in desk with the relevant travel documents at the time of departure.
Economy Class was the only cabin class that the airline offered. Passengers could expect a comfortable journey, with the flight crew available to assist with anything that was needed.
The seats were set out in a 3 x 3 configuration, with standard pitch and width for an Airbus A320 aircraft. There was a total of 180 seats in the cabin.
Passengers were served complimentary snacks, drinks and meals, depending on the length of the flight. On longer flights, passengers were served hot meals, accompanied by a dessert and drink. On shorter flights, passengers were served light snacks, with a choice of beverages.
No way, really?! Yes! We’ve partnered with some amazing BNPL payment providers to allow you to pay for your flights over time, with ease.
Athens International Airport (ATH) is the main international airport in mainland Greece and was the hub for Orange2Fly. Orange2Fly used Athens International as its main hub or headquarters from when it began flying in 2016. However, the airline didn't use the airport as a hub in the same way that a scheduled airline does. Because the airline took charter requests, the majority of its flights didn't depart from the airport like a usual hub. Although, its aircraft were based at the airport the majority of the time.
Other airlines that use Athens International as a hub include Aegean Airlines, Ellinair, Ryanair and Sky Express. The airport also has flights from airlines such as Air Canada, Aviojet, Cyprus Airways, Ellinair, Finnair, Gulf Air, Scoot, Tarom, Vueling among many others.
The airline's fleet consisted of all Airbus A320s. The airline had up to five of these planes within its fleet at any one time.
