Nordic Regional Airlines, often referred to as 'Norra' is a Finnish airline. It is a subsidiary of Finnair and flies scheduled passenger flights. It sometimes flies flights on behalf of Finnair, using Finnair's livery and branding and it sometimes operates flights using its own livery and branding. Nordic Regional Airlines is based at Helsinki Airport (HEL) and offers regional flights to more than 40 destinations across Europe, flying to destinations close to or within Finland.
Norra launched flights in 2011 under the name 'Flybe Nordic'. Originally, both Finnair and Flybe had shared ownership of Norra. However, in 2015, Finnair gained full ownership as the parent airline and as result, Flybe Nordic was rebranded as Nordic Regional Airlines, or Norra, which is what it's still known as today.
When booking flights through Alternative Airlines, Norra flights might be displayed as Finnair. This is because Norra often operates flights on behalf of Finnair, with a Finnair plane, branding and service.
Baggage allowance differs depending on which cabin class/fare they purchase and which route they're flying.
Economy Class passengers are given a free carry-on baggage allowance of one carry-on bag with a maximum weight of 8 kg on all routes. This bag must fit within the dimensions of 55 cm x 40 cm x 23 cm (22" x 16" x 9").
Business Class passengers are given a free carry-on baggage allowance of two carry-on bags with a maximum weight of 10 kg (combined) on all routes. These bags must each fit within the dimensions of 55 cm x 40 cm x 23 cm (22" x 16" x 9").
In addition to this, all passengers can bring one small personal item on board with them, as long as it fits within the dimensions of 40 cm x 30 cm x15 cm (16" x 12" x 6"). This can be a small backpack, purse, laptop and bag etc.
Passengers who have purchased the Economy Flex fare are not given a free checked baggage allowance.
Passengers who have purchased any other fare in Economy are given a free allowance of one checked bag with a maximum weight of 23 kg. This bag must fit within the dimension of 158cm (62") overall.
Passengers who have purchased any Business Class fare are given a free allowance of two checked bags with a maximum weight of 32 kg per pag. These bags must fit within the dimensions of 158cm (62") overall.
There are 2 cabin classes onboard a Norra flight - Economy and Business.
Economy Class is one of two cabin classes that Nordic Regional Airlines flies with. It's the more basic of the two — with fewer benefits. However, it still offers a comfortable way to fly at great value, with a fantastic and friendly cabin on board to assist with anything throughout the flight.
Passengers are given complimentary drinks in-flight.
On select flights, there access to the internet.
Seats are set out in a 2 x 2 formation. Seats are roomy and passengers also have the option to upgrade to an extra legroom seat.
The Business Class cabin gives passengers extra comfort and special service, with the airline's Business Class crew dedicated to making the flight as relaxing and comfortable as possible.
Passengers are treated to complimentary meals and drinks in-flight, priority check-in, security and boarding, as well as complimentary lounge access pre-flight.
Seats
Seats are set out in a 2 x 2 formation but are larger and more comfortable than in Economy Class.
Both online and airport check in are available on flights with Norra.
Passengers can check-in online for their Nordic Regional Airlines flight through the Finnair online check-in page. Online check-in opens 36 hours before scheduled flight departure time. Passengers must have the last name on the booking and booking reference number OR their e-ticket number in order to check-in.
Passengers can check-in for their flight at the airport of departure by visiting one of the airline check-in agents with the travel documents for their flight. Airport check-in closes 45 minutes before scheduled flight departure time for all Norra flights.
In Economy Class, passengers are given complimentary coffee, tea and juice throughout the flight. Meals, snacks and other beverages are available to purchase, with a range of savoury and sweet food, as well as alcoholic and soft drinks.
In Business Class, passengers are given complimentary Business Class high-quality meals that are inspired by Nordic cuisine. These meals come accompanied with complimentary drinks of your choice, with alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. Passengers can are also given complimentary drinks throughout the flight.
All passengers are given a free copy of the airline's in-flight magazine.
Passengers in Business Class are given newspapers to read.
On flights where WIFI is available, passengers can also enjoy a range of newspapers from the airline's online portal.
WIFI is available on selected flights.
For Economy Class passengers, WIFI can be used for a fee.
For Business Class passengers, WIFI is complimentary for 30 minutes. After that, passengers can purchase more time with WIFI.
All passengers must have their own personal electronic WIFI-friendly device in order to connect to the airline's WIFI.
Norra flies to more than 40 destinations across Europe, including to Kemi, Kuopio, Kuusamo, Oulu, Vaasa, Paris, Oslo, Gdańsk, Budapest, Stockholm, Manchester and many more.

The airline has been based at Helsinki Airport since it launched as Flybe Nordic and flew its first flight from the airport back in 2011. The airport has three runways and two terminal buildings. As a subsidiary of Finnair, Nordic Regional Airlines is part of the Finnair Plus frequent flyer program. Passengers flying on Norra earn points on each flight, which can then be used to spend on flight upgrades, access to airport lounges, future flight tickets and extra services on Norra and Finnair flights.
The more points that a passenger has, the higher tier of membership they will hold. Each tier of membership unlocks a whole other range of rewards and benefits, such as increased baggage allowances, services at the airport, advanced seat selection and more.
