Nexus Airlines is an Australian regional airline that launched in May 2023. Nexus Airlines has plans to fly the existing Geraldton to Perth route, as well as routes to Port Hedland, Broome, Kununurra and Darwin, to connect parts of Western Australia. The airline currently operates flights on the Broome-Kununurra-Darwin route 4 times a week, however, there are plans to expand this further to daily.
Nexus Airlines' first flight commenced on the 10th of July, on 1 of their 5 newly acquired de Havilland Canada Dash 8-Q400.
Check-in for Nexus Airlines requires passengers to be there at least 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time as check-in desks will close 30 minutes prior to departure. The boarding gates for the flight will close 10 minutes before the plane is due to take off so always allow plenty of time to arrive at the designated gate.
Passengers flying with Nexus Airlines are entitled to carry 2 pieces of luggage per person. All fares offered by Nexus Airlines include 2 pieces of 23kg baggage per person, with a maximum weight of 32kg. Anything over 23kg is charged at $5.50 per extra kilo if pre-booked and $20 at the time of checking in.
Passengers flying with Nexus Airlines are entitled to 2 pieces of baggage per person, with a combined weight of 7kg. Hand luggage must be no larger in size than 48cm x 34cm x 23cm, and must fit either in the overhead lockers, or under the seat in front.
Nexus Airlines offer a frequent flyer program called NexusGO.
The Nexus Airlines frequent flyer programme is different in the fact that it gives back to the community. For every departure and arrival port, 1 NexusGO point will be earned. Each destination will accrue points and then the points are converted into dollars, to then be sent into the community.
