London City Airport is an airport in London, England. It's the only airport located within the city of London and can be found 6 miles from the City of London, and very close to the popular business district of Canary Wharf.
The airport is younger than both London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports, with its first year of operation being 1988.
Despite not being a hub for any airlines, the airport operates regular services for a number of different airlines: Aer Lingus, TAP Air Portugal, British Airways, Alitalia, Flybe, KLM, LOT Polish Airlines, Air Antwerp, Lufthansa, Swiss International Air Lines, and Luxair.
London City Airport is located in Greater London, in the Royal Docks area of the Borough of Newham. The airport is easy to reach by public transport, or by road.
