Founded in 1973, Jonair is a Swedish airline. Since 2015, the airline offers one flight service between Lulea and Pajala airport in Sweden, which flies 22 times a week and is operated with a Beechcraft King Air 200.
In addition to the Lulea—Pajala service, Jonair offers business and ad-hoc charters, as well as air ambulance flights, from its Umeå base.
Jonair spent its first 38 years of business mainly offering air taxis. However, in September 2015, it was announced Jonair would launch its service between Lulea and Pajala airport. The airline added a maiden Beech King Air 200 to its fleet of two Piper PA-31 and 32 to help operate the service.
Baggage is limited to 5 kg/passenger.
Jonair prefers soft cases and duffel bags to be brought on board since that makes loading of the aircraft faster and stowage of the baggage easier.
The airline mainly operates small flights and there is only one cabin class that is provided on the aircraft and that is the standard Economy class. The airline gives you amenities such as one free checked piece of baggage, refreshments, beverages, and the option of selecting your seat.
On scheduled flights: on the short regular flight between Pajala and Luleå, the airline will always serve coffee and a sandwich on the first-morning flight.
On charter flights: on-board, the airline will always serve coffee and tea with lighter snacks.
On longer flights, or on request, the airline will also offer everything from sandwiches to complete meals.
Unless stated otherwise, passengers will be met by JonAir staff 15 minutes before the scheduled flight departure time at gate 4.
