Governors' Aviation is a Kenyan airline, based in Masai Mara, Kenya. The airline is the aviation wing of Governors' Camp which provides luxury flying safaris, to the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. The concept of the airline was to provide a luxurious flying service for guests staying at the Masai Mara Game Reserve.
Daily flights are also available to and from Loldia House, located on the shores of Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley and to and from Mfangano Island Camp on Lake Victoria. Charter flights are also available. These include flights to Kigali in Rwanda. A Cessna Grand Caravan is available for scenic charter flights of the Masai Mara.
This airline also operates hot air balloon rides under the name Governors’ Balloons Safaris. These flights operate over the Masai Mara, and depart just before dawn, lasting 60 minutes.
Baggage Policy
Governors Aviation has different baggage policies for carry-on and checked baggage.
Carry-on Baggage
The maximum weight permitted of hand luggage is 2kg per person.
Examples of items that can be brought on the flight as carry-on luggage include the following:
- A lady’s handbag or purse and a reasonable amount of reading material for the flight.
- A laptop computer or an I-pad.
- An overcoat, wrap or blanket.
- A small camera, binoculars, Ipod, Kindle or similar.
Checked Baggage
Governor's Aviation luggage specifications are as follows:
- 1 Piece per person with a maximum weight of 30lbs / 13.5 Kgs.
- Soft (all sides) luggage / duffel bags – with no rigid sides. Avoid luggage with wheels if possible.
- Maximum luggage weight is 15 kg (33pounds) including all carry-on luggage.
- Maximum luggage size is Height 25 cm x Width 30 cm x Length 62 cm
- Linear dimensions of the checked luggage not to exceed 45 linear inches / 114cms, (length + height + width)
Excess Baggage
The carriage of excess baggage is at the sole discretion of the Company after taking into consideration the aircraft being used and the number of passengers booked. When excess baggage is carried it will be charged at the prevailing rate.

Governors Aviation passengers must check in at the airport since the airline doesn't offer online check in.
Online Check-in
Online check-in is not available.
Airport Check-in
Passengers are requested to arrive at the terminal 1 hour prior to departure.

Wilson Airport is a small airport in Nairobi, Kenya and offers flights to many regional airports in Kenya. Nairobi's main airport, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, serves domestic and many international destinations. The airport is a base for airlines including Baracuda Airways and Airkenya Express.
All Nairobi flights depart from the airline's departure lounge at Wilson Aiport. The lounge is located in the Phoenix Aviation building next to Safarilink at Wilson Airport. The lounge is open from 6.30am to 5.30pm daily.

Masai Mara: the airline operates two daily flights to Masai Mara, one flight in the morning and one flight in the afternoon.
