FlyStream Airlines is a new start-up airline based in Zimbabwe and the United Arab Emirates. It was established by Prince Sultan Khalil Ibrahim Albalishi, the founder and chief executive officer of Dubai-based Rind Properties. The prince visited Zimbabwe in May 2022 to explore investment opportunities in the country and has made his first move with the creation of FlyStream Airlines.
FlyStream Airlines will aim to operate charter flights and is currently awaiting regulatory approvals before its official launch.
The airline will offer luxury charter services in Zimbabwe with plans for the airline's cabin experience already being revealed - FlyStream Airlines will use ultra-luxurious Gulfstream aircraft with exclusive interiors, spacious legroom and other premium facilities.
The development of FlyStream Airlines is part of a broader trend of companies from Dubai exploring opportunities in Zimbabwe - this trend has been encouraged by Emirates launching flights into Harare within the last decade.
It's unknown what destinations FlyStream Airlines will fly to/from. The airline will be based in Zimbabwe and plans to operate private charter flights, therefore, we can assume its main focus will be on domestic flights in Zimbabwe and potentially regional flights to countries surrounding the nation.
FlyStream Airlines hasn't announced its specific baggage rules however there are general guidelines you can follow before packing for your trip.
Most airlines allow passengers to carry 1 piece of cabin baggage and 1 personal item (such as a purse or a laptop bag).
The size and weight restrictions for cabin baggage may vary however the common size limit is around 56 x 36 x 23 cm (22 x 14 x 9 inches), and the weight limit typically cannot exceed 7-10kg (15-22 lbs).
Please note that these rules may differ from the airline's own baggage allowance rules - please contact the airline directly for more accurate information.
The number of checked bags allowed will depend on your ticket type, class of service and the airline's specific policy.
Airlines often have a maximum weight limit of 20-23kg per checked baggage (44-50 lbs). The linear dimensions (length + width + height) also cannot exceed 158 cm (62 inches).
Please note that these rules may differ from the airline's own baggage allowance rules - please contact the airline directly for more accurate information.
FlyStream Airlines plans to operate private charter flights with a fleet of small, regional aircraft. It aims to offer a premium travel experience to its passengers with exclusive interiors, spacious legroom and other upscale facilities.
Due to the nature of the flights that will be operated by FlyStream Airlines, in-flight entertainment may not be provided or existent on the aircraft. We recommend bringing your own forms of entertainment for your flight such as a book to read or your own personal devices with TV shows/movies to watch.
A complimentary snack or beverage may be provided on FlyStream Airlines flights however this is not guaranteed due to the type of flights it plans to operate.
It's not known whether you can check in online for your FlyStream Airlines flights therefore we recommend checking in at the airport.
You can check in for your FlyStream Airlines flight at the airport via the airline's check-in counters. We recommend arriving at the airport at least 2-3 hours before your flight is scheduled to depart. This is to allow enough time for you to get through baggage drop and security procedures.
At this moment in time, FlyStream Airlines doesn't offer a frequent flyer program.
