Do I need a visa to attend the FIFA Club World Cup in the USA?

When travelling to the USA, visitors from most countries will need to apply for a visa before they travel.

If you are a citizen or eligible national of a Visa Waiver Program country you can apply for an Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA). An ESTA must be obtained before starting your trip. You can check if you are eligible to apply for a ESTA on the US Customs and Border Protection website. Make sure you apply for ESTAs as soon as possible to ensure that any application delays do not impact your flights. It is recommended to apply at least 72 hours before travel.

For those who are not eligible for the Visa Waiver Program, you will need to apply for a B-2 Visa. This is a non-immigration visa that covers tourism, medical, study and work related travel. It is advised to apply for any B-2 Visas well in advance of your date of travel as application acceptance is not guaranteed and can take weeks or months to process. Further information on the B-2 Visa can be found on the US Department of State website.

Citizens of Canada and Bermuda do not require a visa or ESTA to enter the United States for tourism or short term visits. If you are travelling from these countries, please make sure to check any other eligibility criteria that you may be expected to meet on the US government website.
