Based in the US and want to fly to Coachella? Palm Springs International Airport has plenty of domestic flights connecting you to major US cities, including Nashville, Indianapolis, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles, New York and Las Vegas.
If you're flying to Coachella from New York, you've got a couple of options. The cheapest way is usually flying to Los Angeles International Airport with airlines like Alaska Airlines, Delta and American Airlines all offering direct flights from JFK. If you want to land closer, you can fly to Palm Springs International Airport with United Airlines from LaGuardia (with a quick stop in Houston) or with American Airlines from JFK (with a stop in Phoenix).
You can fly to Palm Springs from Las Vegas with American Airlines but there will be a stop in Phoenix. Direct flights to Palm Springs from Los Angeles are recommended, with non-stop flights available from Alaska Airlines, United Airlines and Delta.
If you're flying internationally to Coachella, you have multiple airports to fly into. Palm Springs International Airport offers a handful of routes from Canada - you can fly directly from Vancouver, Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg. If you're coming from further afield, you'll likely need to connect through a major hub like Dallas, Los Angeles and San Diego.
Travellers from London should consider flying to Los Angeles International Airport for Coachella. It has the most flights from the UK with non-stop options from British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, United Airlines, Delta and American Airlines. Cheaper routes are available if you consider a short stopover in Vancouver and fly with Air Canada, WestJet or Air Transat.
If you're flying to Coachella from Dublin, LAX is again the better choice, with Aer Lingus offering direct flights. Stopovers are also available if you fly with American Airlines and connect via London Heathrow Airport (which sometimes works out to be cheaper!). This is the closest airport to Coachella, only 25 minutes away! It's a great option if you're flying from the US, with a handful of international routes from Canada too. Unfortunately, there is no public transport or shuttle service from the airport to the festival, so you'll need to hire a car, book a taxi or use a ride-hailing app.
Distance to Coachella: 25 miles (30 mins by car approx)
Domestic US airlines: Alaska Airlines, Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Delta, Frontier Airlines, JetBlue, Southwest, Sun Country Airlines, United Airlines and more.
International airlines: Air Canada, Flair Airlines, Swoop and Westjet.
If you're flying in from abroad, LAX is your best bet. It has flights from Europe, Canada, Mexico, Central America, Asia and the Middle East. It also offers plenty of US routes, so domestic travellers have lots of options too. During Coachella, there is a dedicated shuttle service that runs from LAX to the festival. You'll also be able to get around Los Angeles via buses, trains and the metro, or high a car/taxi for a private transfer.

This is another option with domestic routes and select international flights from Canada, Asia and Europe. San Diego International Airport is well-connected to downtown San Diego via rail and bus, however, there's no direct transport to Coachella. You'll need to hire a car or take a taxi.

There are three main options of airports for flying to Coachella. The nearest is Palm Springs International Airport, but there is also Los Angeles International Airport and San Diego Airport.
