Envoy Air was founded in 1984 and is a regional airline based in Texas.

The airline is a subsidiary of the American Airlines Group, and serves 150 cities witihin the USA, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean and is one of the seven carriers that operate under the ‘American Eagle’ name, with Piedmont AirlinesPSA Airlines, Compass Airlines, Mesa AirlinesRepublic Airline and Skywest Airlines.

Baggage Policy

Envoy Air has different baggage allowance for carry-on and checked baggage.

Carry-on Baggage

Each passenger is permitted one carry-on bag plus one personal item. The personal item has to be 91cm / 36in of combined dimensions, or smaller. The carry-on item has to be 55 x 35 x 22cm (22 x 14 x 9in) or smaller.

Checked Baggage

Checked bags must be no more than 157cm / 62in when combining the dimensions, and weigh no more than 22kg / 50lbs. Bags have to be purchased, with fees varying according to ticket fare and route travelling.

In economy, there’s video on demand and power ports at seats. Snacks and beverages, and meals on longer flights, are available to purchase. Enjoy the in-flight magazine and duty-free shopping.

Business Class

The Envoy Suite is a separate cabin to Economy, and offers exclusive business class seating.

Business class facilities

Personal amenity kits include an eye mask, ear plugs, socks, toothbrush, toothpaste, lotion, lip balm, and a pen. The airline will distribute headphones so that you can enjoy personal touchscreen entertainment system in peace. Meals are served on china, with a varied menu to choose from.


What are business class seats like?

The seating is in a reverse Herringbone design, there’s plenty of room as the seats convert to fully flat beds, each seat with aisle access.

Check-In

Envoy Air allows you to check-in online prior to your flight departure time. You can also check-in at the airport.

Online Check-in

Passengers can online check-in. This opens 24 hours prior to departure and closes 45 minutes before scheduled departure. This may vary however depending on your route flying.

Airport Check-in

It also offers airport check-in. Depending on your route flying, airport check-in will open between 4 hours and 45 minutes before departure.

In-Flight Entertainment

Due to the type of flights Envoy Air operates, the airline does not provide in-flight entertainment onboard. This is because Envoy Air's flights are regional with short flight duration and smaller cabins.

We recommend bringing your own forms of entertainment onboard such as books, magazines or your favourite TV shows and movies downloaded onto your portable devices.

Wi-Fi

Envoy Air offers Wi-Fi on some of its aircraft. Passengers can stay connected in the air while using Envoy Air's onboard Wi-Fi service. It can be used to browsing the internet, checking emails and accessing messaging platforms.

Food & Drink

Envoy Air only operates short, regional flights therefore it doesn't offer full meal services onboard. Snacks and beverages are provided depending on the time of day and length of the flight.

You can also purchase additional snacks and drinks onboard using Envoy Air's in-flight menu. Credit and debit card are accepted as well as American Airlines AAdvantage miles.

If you have special dietary requirements, we recommend bringing your own food/drink onboard as the airline may not be able to provide alternative food options to you.

Frequent Flyer Program

Envoy Air participates in American Airlines' frequent flyer program - AAdvantage. Because Envoy Air is a subsidiary of American Airlines, passengers flying with Envoy Air can earn and redeem AAdvantage miles. These can be used for free flights, upgrades and other benefits.

AAdvantage

With AAdvantage, members can earn miles when flying with Envoy Air or other American Airlines partners. Some of the benefits offered by AAdvantage include priority check-in, boarding and baggage handling as well as exclusive access to airport lounges, free checked bags and other perks.

Envoy Air isn't currently a member of any airline alliance, however, its parent company, American Airlines, is a member of the Oneworld Alliance. The Oneworld Alliance consists of many major airlines around the world including British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Qantas and others.

AAdvantage members can earn and redeem miles on flights operated by other Oneworld airlines - some benefits that can be enjoyed include lounge access and priority check-in and boarding.

Fleet

As of September 2022, the Envoy Air fleet consists of 44 x Embraer ERJ145s, 9 x Embraer 170s and 98 x Embraer 175s. The airline also has many more Embraer 170s on order, further expanding its fleet over the coming years.
