Cobrajet Aviation is a new startup airline, to be based at Cairo International Airport in Egypt. The airline was founded in 2012 and took delivery of its first aircraft, an Airbus A320, in August 2021. It has plans to extend this fleet to include more Airbus aircraft soon, and has a goal to reach a minimum of 8 aircraft within the next 2 years. Cobrajet Aviation also owns a Cargo Airbus 300-600, to provide private cargo transportation.
The airline is named after Wadjet, the ancient Egyptian god of safety. From its base at Cairo, the carrier will strive to become a premium charter airline, capable of operating flights to destinations around the world.
Cobrajet Aviation will initially operate as a charter airline. Scheduled passenger flights are not currently available.
