Change For Any Reason (CFAR) is an insurance product that lets you make any changes to your flight ticket with any airline up until the departure of your first flight. This means that you can make any changes to your booking without any hassle and extra fees! When you book through Alternative Airlines you'll be able to change your flight for any reason, only if you brought a fully changeable flight ticket. If you wish to make changes to your fully changeable flight, you can do so for a small extra fee.

Please note that many airlines will allow you to cancel your flight ticket for any reason within 24 hours of booking, totally free of charge. If you wish to cancel your flight within 24 hours of booking for a full refund, you can do so.

What are Fully Changeable Flight Tickets?

When you make a reservation through our trusty booking site, you can change your flight for any reason, if you purchased a fully changeable flight ticket. You can find out if your flight ticket is eligible for any changes on the passenger details page under the fare rules section. If your flight is fully changeable then you'll be able to make adjustments to your booking for any reason. Changes to the booking are subject to a fee.

Please note that not all flights available at Alternative Airlines are fully changeable. If you brought a non-changeable flight ticket, then you'll be unable to make any changes to your flight ticket.

How To Book A Changeable Flight Ticket

Step 1

Using the search form at the top of the page, fill in the departure and arrival destinations along with the dates you plan to travel, the number of passengers and the cabin class. Hit 'Search Flights'.

Step 2

You'll then be displayed will all the available flights according to the information you entered in the search box. If you wish to fly with a specific airline then use the 'Airlines' drop-down tab and select the airline you want to fly with. Once you've selected the perfect flight for you 'Confirm Selection'.

Step 3

You'll then be taken onto the passenger details page. You'll be able to see whether the flight you selected is changeable in the fare rules section. If it states 'Changes are Permitted', then you'll be able to make changes to your booking.

Cancellation Protection

For an added layer of protection and to receive a full refund without having to pay excess fees, you can buy our Cancellation Protection at checkout when you make a booking with Alternative Airlines. With Cancellation Protection, you'll be able to cancel your flight ticket if you can't make your flight due to any emergency circumstance such as mechanical breakdown, injury, theft of documents, and adverse weather. Since you'll receive a refund, you can now book a new flight with the new dates you wish to fly.

The price of Change For Any Reason will vary depending on the airline you fly with and the fare of your price ticket. With Change For Any Reason Cover, you'll be able to make changes to your booking, even if it's just because you wish to spend a few more days on vacation.
