Beond is a start-up airline that was founded at the beginning of 2022 and officially commenced operations in September 2023. The airline is still in its start-up phase and is planning to fly directly from the Maldives to over 60 destinations across the globe including Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia.
BeOnd recently launched its first flights in November 2023 - it currently offers flights between Male and Riyadh, Munich, Zurich and Dubai. Flights between Male and Milan will begin in March 2024.
Beond is the first airline to launch a luxury airline in the Maldives - the airline offers business class only. The airline aims to provide luxurious passenger flights around the world as well as provide more direct flights to/from the Maldives, making it easier for tourists to visit.
Beond is looking to fly to over 60 destinations globally from the Maldives. Beond will begin its operations in Dubai, Hong Kong, Milan, Munich, Paris, Riyadh, Singapore, Taipei, Vienna, and Zurich. The airline will continue to expand its destinations later on.
With BeOnd, passengers with any fare type are granted a generous amount of baggage allowance.
Passengers flying with BeOnd's Delight or Bliss fare are allowed to bring up to 10kg of cabin baggage. If you've purchased the Opulence fare, you are allowed up to 15kg of cabin baggage.
Please make sure that you don't pack any prohibited items in your carry-on baggage, this includes any liquids over 100ml. Any prohibited items found by airport security will be removed and disposed of.
Delight and Bliss fare holders are permitted to bring up to 40kg of checked baggage.
Opulence passengers are allowed to bring up to 60kg of checked baggage.
BeOnd only has one cabin class - Business Class. There are three types of fares for business class when flying with BeOnd. These are 'Delight', 'Bliss' and 'Opulence'.
The Delight fare class allows passengers to bring 40kg of checked bags, 10kg of cabin baggage and the option to choose a seat for a set price. Lounge access isn't granted to Delight passengers and ticket changes come with a fee.
The Bliss fare also includes 40kg of checked baggage and 10kg of cabin baggage. Choosing your seats is free with BeOnd's Bliss ticket and you will also be given access to VIP lounges in Male.
With the Opulence fare, passengers are allowed to bring up to 60kg of checked baggage and 15kg of cabin baggage. Ticket changes are also free, and you also get access to the airline's airport lounges and free seat assignment.
BeOnd Airlines business-class cabin is set out in a 2-2 seating configuration. The seats are designed by Optimares, a company that specialises in manufacturing stylish, luxurious seats for airlines offering business-class cabins.
Although the airline offers a luxury travel experience, it doesn't provide seatback screens on its seats - this is to cut costs and achieve sustainability on all its flights. Beond's premium seats convert into fully flat beds.
Beond will offer online check-in for you to complete at home before your flight departure time. Many airlines allow you to check in from 30 days to 24 hours before your flight. More information on online check-in will be available as soon as Beond begins its operations.
Beond has announced its airport check-in times, however, we advise that you arrive at least 2 hours before your flight departure time. Please note that check-in times will be shown on your flight itinerary.
Beond offers a unique in-flight entertainment experience. Passengers receive an Apple Vision Pro headset, providing an immersive experience when viewing content such as movies and television.
Beond also provides iPads at each seat. Each device is preloaded with plenty of content, including the latest films and games.
Beond will offer luxury Michelin-star treats! It promises to serve excellent quality and healthy sourced food from around the world.

Velana International Airport (VIA) is the main international airport in the Maldives. The airport is located on Hulhulé Island in the North Malé Atoll. This airport is well connected with major airports across the globe, in which it serves as the main gateway into the Maldives.
The airport has one single runway (60m x 3,400m). Velana International Airport has 3 terminals: International Terminal, the Domestic Terminal and the water-drome Seaplane Terminal. The Waterdrome Seaplane Terminal opened in October 2022 - the terminal can now accommodate over 100 seaplanes and operate 300 daily flights increasing to 600 flights during peak season.
