Animawings is a Romanian airline founded in 2019, serving many destinations in Europe and Africa with a fleet of Airbus 320-200 aircraft. The airline is based at Henri Coanda International Airport in Bucharest, Romania. Animawings operates over 50 flights a week.
Not long after the launch of the airline, Aegean Airlines decided to acquire 25% stake in Animawings and the rest is owned by the Memento Group. It was in July 2020, when the airline obtained its Air Operating Certificate (AOC) and initiated its maiden flight. Since then, the airline has been selling both scheduled and charter flights to its destinations.
Animawings has different baggage policies for carry-on and checked baggage.
Animawings passengers receive a baggage allowance of up to two pieces of carry-on baggage.
Depending on the tickets purchased, passengers can either carry small hand luggage or large hand luggage.
Small hand luggage must weigh less than 6kg and fit within 40cm x 20cm x 28cm.
Small hand luggage must weigh less than 10kg and fit within 55cm x 40cm x 20cm.
Carry-on baggage must not contain any prohibited items including fluid exceeding 100ml.
Depending on the tickets purchased, passengers may receive a checked baggage allowance of up to four pieces of checked baggage.
Checked baggage must weigh less than 23kg with a maximum dimensions of 100cm x 80cm x 30cm.
Any baggage exceeding 32kg will not be accepted by the airline. If you wish to buy excess baggage, it's available during the booking process.
When you purchase a light wings flight ticket you'll be entitled to a small hand luggage, of 6 Kg (40x20x28 cm). This ticket is the cheapest fare with Animawings.
When flying with a speedy wings flight you'll be allowed to bring 1 small piece of hand luggage, of 6 Kg (40x20x28 cm) as well as 1 extra hand luggage of 10 Kg (55x40x20 cm). You'll also be allowed to pre-book your seat in advance at no additional cost.
Comfort Wings lets you bring 1 small carry-on baggage, of 6 Kg (40x20x28 cm, 1 additional carry-on baggage of 10 Kg (55x40x20 cm) and 1 checked baggage of 23 Kg (100x80x30 cm. When you buy a Comfort Wings ticket with Animawings you'll also be allowed to pre-select your seat and have priority boarding.
On Animawings' flights, there will be a variety of snacks, meals and drinks that you can purchase at a small cost. Animawings offers food packages such as Breakfast Deals, Happy Deals and Couple Deals. These packages usually include at least 1 snack and 1 drink of your choice.
When flying long-haul with Animawings, you'll be served a delicious meal which has been prepared from gourmet ingredients.
Animawings passengers must check in at the airport since the airline doesn't provide online check in.
Online check-in isn't available currently but Animawings are working on a new site that will allow passengers to check in online. All passengers must check-in at the airport.
Airport check-in counters open 2 hours before the scheduled departure time. At Alternative Airlines, we recommend passengers to arrive at the airport three hours before the flight.
Passengers should report to the airline check-in desks as soon as they arrive and locate the airline check-in area.
Passengers must check-in before the check-in deadline. Failure to check-in before the deadline may be refused to board the aircraft.
Frequent flyer programme isn't available for the airline.
Animawings isn't part of any airline alliances.
Animawings offers a handful of special services for its passengers.
Animawings welcome expectant mothers who are up to 28 weeks pregnant to travel without any restrictions. If you're between 28 and 34 weeks of pregnancy, you may travel as long as you present a medical certificate stating that you are fit to fly. However, on the 34 weeks of pregnancy Animawings won't allow you to fly. If you're pregnant with twins then you're no longer able to travel at 32 weeks of pregnancy.
Animawings is flying to over 20 destinations in Europe and Africa, including destinations in Greece, Thailand, Romania, Morocco, Italy, Kenya, Spain and Egpyt.

Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP) is the busiest international airport in Otopeni, Romania. Animawings' fleet is consisting the Airbus 320-200, a twin-engine narrow-body jet. This aircraft could accommodate up to 174 seats and the seat configuration on this aircraft is 3 x 3. The airline is also looking to lease an aircraft from Aegean Airlines including the A321neo.
