Albany International can be reached off of Albany Shaker Road. Parking and car rental are both available at the airport. Parking costs $10 USD per day.
By bus
CDTA bus route 1 travels between Albany International Airport and Colonie & Downtown Albany, with multiple stops along the way. The bus runs seven days a week.
Adirondack Trailways offers long-distance bus journies to several destinations including Amsterdam, Arlington, Bennington, Binghamton, Brandon, Burlington, Canton, Chestertown, Cobleskill, Glens Falls, Keene, Keene Valley, Kingston, Lake George, Lake Placid, Lisbon Littleton, Malone, Manchester, Massena, Middlebury ,Montpelier, Montreal, New Paltz, New York City ,Oneonta, Potsdam, Pottersville, Poughkeepsie New Burgh, Ridgewood NJ, Saranac Lake, Saratoga, Schroon Lake, St Albans, Syracuse, Utica, Vergennes, Wallingford Rutland, Warrensburg, White River Jct and Woodsville.
Bus tickets with Adirondack Trailways must be purchased prior to travel.
By taxi
Like much of New York, you can flag down a taxi in busy areas of Albany. However, in quieter areas, you might want to pre-order a taxi. To pre-order a taxi, either get the person(s) in charge of your accommodation to order one or recommend a taxi company to you.
