Air Travel is the foreign name for Hunan Airlines (Chinese name: 湖南航空公司), an airline that flies domestic flights within China. The airline is based at Changsha Huanghua International Airport ;(CSX) and flies to more than 20 destinations across 13 of China's provinces. Air Travel/Hunan Airlines is a rebrand of Hongtu Airlines.
The airline launched as Hongtu Airlines (Chinese name: 红土航空) in 2016 with a service from Kunming to Nanchang. When it first launched, the airline used Kunming Changshui International Airport (KMG) as its hub. In 2018, the airline rebranded to Air Travel but kept its Chinese name. In 2020, the airline moved to Hunan and adopted Changsha Huanghua International Airport as its new hub. Along with the move, it rebranded its Chinese name to 湖南航空公司, which translates to Hunan Airlines. The airline still uses Air Travel as its foreign name.
As the only airline based in Changsha, the airline is one of the leading airlines serving the Hunan province.
Air Travel has a different baggage policy for carry-on and checked baggage policy.
Passengers are given a free carry-on baggage allowance of 10 kg per passenger. This carry-on bag cannot exceed 20 cm (7.8") x 40 cm (15.7") x 55 cm (21.6").
Passengers in Economy Class are given a free checked baggage allowance of 20 kg.
Passengers in Business Class are given a free checked baggage allowance of 30 kg.
Passengers in First Class are given a free checked baggage allowance of 40 kg.
On standard domestic flights, no one piece of baggage can exceed 50 kg.
On domestic flights that have a connecting international flight from another airline within the itinerary, no one piece of baggage can exceed 32 kg.
The airline flies with an Economy Class cabin for those that want a simple journey with no-frills. For passengers that want a little extra, the airline also has a Business Class cabin. And, for those that want maximum luxury, there's a First Class cabin too.
The airline's cabin crew is multi-lingual and is trained to help with anything that passengers might need for their flights.
The airline doesn't have an in-flight entertainment system or WIFI onboard its flights. Although, on some flights, it'll have an in-flight magazine.
*Please note: the airline magazine is rarely in English.
Food and drink are served on all flights, either as a pre-paid meal included in the price of the ticket or available to purchase in-flight, as an add-on.
The food served on the flight is inspired by local cuisine.
The Honghu Club is the frequent flyer program for Air Travel. It allows Air Travel passengers to earn points/miles for each flight that they take with the airline and use those points/miles to spend on flights on Air Travel in the future. In addition to earning and redeeming points, the frequent flyer program also gives passengers access to a range of other benefits, including priority check-in, extra baggage allowances and — at some airports — free access to airline/airport lounges.
Air Travel flies to several destinations within China, including Changhzi, Guilin, Jinghong, Kunming, Libo, Wuxi, Urumqi, Hailar, Zhuhai, Hohhot and more.

The airline has used Changsha Huanghua International as its hub since 2020, having previously used Kunming International. The airport has two terminal buildings and two runways. Air Travel usually departs and arrives at Terminal 2, however, this is subject to change.
